  1. Fucking 2 year driving ban. That's got to rank up there with the most pointless punishments of all time.
  2. Yasmin Bleeth? Sorry, misunderstood-I thought you meant Pammie used to be brunette and a coke addict! I always had a thing for Erika Eleniak. Under Siege anyone?????? oh yes
  3. IMHO that is not down to the fact that we are missing a striker who can score goals or the ability in the team but rather down to the coaching and match tactics. The problem lies in midfield (and the hoofers in defence). Of course the current strikers aren't giving the midfield too much options, but especially Dyer shows that it just needs an approach in taking the game at the opposition. The likes of Duff, N'Zogbia, Milner, Solano, Emre, Parker should normally be able to do the same. As I said, I do expect our attacking game to pick up anyway, but I also expect the standard of our defensive display to vastly drop against better opposition. I know in which players I rather do put my hope in... I agree with that but what you say about our strikers not giving the midfielders enough options worry's me the most. Overall though I think we can get by with our shit defence for the rest of the season (providing Carr isn't playing) but I think we will struggle with our attack. That said two fullbacks would be very close behind a striker on my list for exactly the reasons SLP has stated.
  4. David Kelly, John Anderson, David McCreery, Beardsley, Shearer for us. Last last two because they were just brilliant players as well as two of our own. And the first three because they would have ran through brick walls for us. I'm sure I remember Anderson playing for us with a cast on one part of his body or another for most of his career. Mind you I was young when he was playing so my memory mightn't be so good. From other teams Baresi, Boban, Rui Costa, Cafu, Jasper Olsen (before I knew to hate manure), Stoikavic (spelling?), Hagi, Michael Laudrup, Enzo Schifo & Maradona all come to mind
  5. I am still not conviced by our back four and the "miracles" of Pearson. There are always periods where the imbeciles seem to do well (i.e. overperforming), but in fact in recent games they haven't really got tested by top teams (with the exception of Arsenal where it was rather the stupidy of them than the brilliance of us). So if the right man who could even more stabilise the defence came along I'd rather sign him than another striker. I think in midfield and even the attack we do have enough players capable to create and score goals if we actually try to play football. So basically, I just expect more from these players, while I only can expect less from our defenders. Only if Dyer is fit tbh. We look seriously unable to create anything most of the time this season and that's regardless of the opposition.
  6. Fucking hell lads just get your heads in amongst her tits and let rip motor boat style.
  7. Our defence clearly needs improvement especially when you consider Bramble and Moore's contracts are up at the end of the season and hopefully won't be renewed. But our biggest problem clearly is not scoring enough goals and we have to do something about that as soon as possible.
  8. It's worse when you've got bairns.
  9. Why would it be neked. And alone for that mater although for the pedants (Alex I'm looking in your direction here) I realise I didn't stress that in my initial post.
  10. Cheers all. I just realised that we had swaped the remote from upstairs that wasn't programmed with the one from down that was. Useless twat that I am!
  11. Fucking police are on the ball there like treating it as suspiscious. Are there any circumstances where you can find a dead naked baby by the side of a motorway and it not be suspiscious?
  12. Help there's one of those nasty football things heading towards me.
  13. Surprised to hear he's 27 like. I thought he was younger than that. Seems to have improved a lot over the last season or after having a couple of indifferent years. Better than Bramble or Moore (or Taylor or Ramage at the moment) but I would prefer to see us sign someone who's been consistantly playing each season as oppose to someone who has seemed to be a reserve year after year.
  14. I had my sky set up so that you could use the volume controls on the remote for the telly but when we changed the batteries it's stopped working. Does anyone know how to reprogramme it?

    Sage L50 v10

Sorry that's a bit more advanced than I've ever done and I've had no actual training on it.
  16. Joanna Newsom - Y's I'm enjoying this a lot more at work than I did in the car. Definitely not driving music!
  17. That looks like a system that might work but I seriously doubt our coaches are good enough to get us doing it properly. Funnily enough this is the sort of formation that I think Souness was looking towards before we signed Owen. I think he had it in mind to play Shearer up top with Luque and Dyer either side and Emre Parker and Bowyer/Faye in the middle. Of course Dyer and Luque's injury's coupled with Owen and Nobby's signings meant he never tried it.
  18. I would say Emre's end product has been very poor. I keep expecting him to produce goal scoring oppertunities but I very rarely see it. His style of play just doesn't seem to suit our 4-4-2 and unless we make a radical change (something I don't think our coaching staff are capable of) I don't think we will ever make the best use of Emre.
  19. Bit of an overstatement tbh. There's barely a Newcastle fan that wouldn't have named Parker as our best player last season so no I don't think it's an overstatement at all. Though I'm sure you'll disagree. I wouldn't have named him our best player last season. I've never rated Parker and never will. I really don't see why everyone wanks themselves stupid over him for. Parker's a good player imo. I don't really see that that's in question. What I'm more concerned about is what works as a partnership, but I can't understand anyone trying to claim Parker is a poor player, because he just isn't. I agree the Parker Emre partnership isn't right but I'm not convinced it's because Parker can't play the holding role meaning Emre has to sit like some are suggesting. Like I said Parker did that role last season but Emre still wasn't pushing forward enough. Personally I don't think Emre contributes enough and I would have Dyer in the centre with Parker or Butt.
  20. I never said all fans. But I don't think anyone can disagree that the majority of fans would have picked him.
  21. Down the side of the Laing art gallery, its in those old georgian houses. Aye that's what I thought. Cheers.
  22. Personally I prefer to let her do the work playing with my cock. What are you some sort of feminist?
  23. Marco Polo's is still canny like and the decor is much better than the old Chianti bottles with candles in style it used to be. Wheres Higham Place?
  24. Bit of an overstatement tbh. There's barely a Newcastle fan that wouldn't have named Parker as our best player last season so no I don't think it's an overstatement at all. Though I'm sure you'll disagree.
