  1. Cool, they are even not too shabby to spice up a dodgy NOTW article by 3m quid...
  2. Annoying as f**k tbh. well he would be with prolonged exposure but I've not heard enough of him for that yet More than a split of a second was long enough tbh.
  3. I love the notion that the English aren't. There are arses in both countries.... Calm down Sprockett Who suggested the English weren't like? I quite agree btw. Scottish football fans go on like the Mackems do with us though when it comes to the English, which is what I had in mind. Actively cheer on England's opponents, sad bastards. Yeah, the amount of English people roaring for Germany this summer will be staggering...

    BBC Gossip

    Martin Jol from N-O?
  5. Total non-story. Anal probably tries to get into the knickers of the Oba wank boys. Didn't he tell us the whole last summer as well that Wenger wants to sign Martins...
  6. I agree. ANOTHER transition season when there's no reason for it other than Mike Ashley wants to get spending down. Well, season tickets are the same price aren't they? Yet there's no hope of competing if we don't get some very decent players in. Selling teenagers on for profit isn't the most fun thing I've ever looked forward to either.... It could all be a smokescreen, if we've got a few world class signings and got Owen to sign another contract I'll be happy...much less and I think we can all kiss goodbye to dreams of revisiting the glory days of the mid 90s. I honestly can't see Ashers pissing around, we'll get players KK wants (within reason). It's driving me schizophrenic. Some days I think we're in for a great summer and new season, other times I think it's all a big ruse and we're going to get shafted!! *repeatedly washes hands* It takes time to learn the way of the Parky. Nah, an overdose of drugs also does the trick...
  7. I doubt even those clubs would be prepared to pay him that much. That's why I can't understand the whole hysteria about him leaving the club.

    Holidays

My brother is off to Belgrade next week for a month of work experience. He doesn't seem interested in the Eurovision though. Anyway, he's off to Montenegro for a bit then hopping on a ferry over to Italy, where I'm gonna meet him, then we'll travel up to France, meet my parents at my uncle's campsite near Nice, and then on up through France. In Italy we're doing Naples, Rome, Tuscany (maybe inc Florence) and perhaps Genoa. If anyone has any experiences/suggestions I'm all ears, especially about Tuscany. Pisa is definitely worth a day trip. Siena as well. I will do two weeks of sailing (channel islands) in early August.
  9. Unusual would have been if they had used the champagne and not the usual tankards of beer...
  10. sounds more like putting your finances in order to make it more attractive for sale or future refinancing, dont forget mike knew he was taking on some debt , thats why he got a club with 100mill turnover for 134 mill . The ratio of turnover to sales price means fuck all if the club is making a loss, which it was when he bought it. Seriously, I would stop trying to argue using the numbers as your basis as, and no offence is intended here, I really don't think you're too hot on figures. the problem with your response is that its very easy for ashley to reduce to outgoings of this club as we are now seeing him do , yet the income thanks to us mugs is never likely to change significantly look at ashleys business aquisitions , he takes over companys cut's out the fat , makes them more appealing for sale . With how many of his businesses has he actually done this? I think there are far too many people - not only from the gutter press - trying to read tea leaves... all of them Strange that he hardly did sell any companies he took over but rather incorporates them into his retail business...

  12. Was it not? That`s nonsense. It was a lot tougher as you only played champions. Mr Keith would hardly be an expert on that era.......................having not seen a game. Yeah, the champions of Albania, Luxemburg etc. Not forgetting all the major ones of course........... Well, the major ones are still competing in todays competition. Just those from the smaller nations who mostly got a tonking do not really participate anymore and got replaced by other bigger clubs from the better leagues. So to say the old European Cup was "a lot tougher" is just total nonsense.

  17. When Koeman wiped his arse with a German shirt in 1988 it was even worse. But I am actually quite a fan of Dutch football. So am I. I actually swapped allegiances during that 1990 game though. Temporarily, obviously One of my favourite games. It had everything. I changed my opinion about Klinsmann who was just terrific. But Johnny is right, I can't stand Rijkhard since then. Every time I see him he looks to me as if he is to start spitting the next moment.

  19. Good to see the lama leaving, it does make Barca a nicer club again.
