  1. tmonkey then? I was thinking Ugly Mackems and Northern Monkey. And Renton iirc Well, with each cap the value of his abusive autograph will raise - if only he could decipher it of course...
  2. It's rather likely we will see those three together on a plane to Dr. Steadman tbh. Don't know in which formation they will sit together though. REALISM RULEZ
  3. And leaving the squad thinner than it already is? Sibs was a good player prior to moving to Man City, he just didn't click there as happens sometimes with players. The fact that he can play as a forward or midfielder just make him that more useable in a squad, especially one as weak as ours. We should be concentrating on getting players in rather than out. He was a good player before he joined Man City, was he? Well he wasn't very good there, and he doesn't look much cop here either (sorry, but he's mediocre, had a nice run when he first got here). Yes, we should be concentrating on getting players in, but not mediocre ones. This lad was a stop gap and we are about to extend his stay to THREE YEARS man. I can't believe people are rationalising this as a good move. It's a shambles. As for leaving the squad thinner than it is - no, you have 3 months in the summer to remedy that. I'm not talking about spending megabucks, but keeping bad players at the club is not the answer either. Don't get me wrong, I can see where you're coming from, I'd love to see better players brought in but from what we've seen it's unlikely that the club has either adequate funds or the wanting to spend. Players like Sib fill in the gaps in the team where depth is needed, and be fair, he's not as bad as some of you are making out. For the time being, with the state the club is in and the cloud of takeovers hanging over any buying decisions it's a cheaper option to keep someone you've already got on your books and it's probable that Sib's not being paid much either. He makes up the numbers, we are a very bare bones team so I don't see the problem with keeping hold of a player like him until we're sorted out - and lets face it do you honestly see that happening in thenext 2 years? Unless a miracle happens we're a mid table team as much as I hate to admit it and beggars can't be choosers - IF we could get rid of Fat Fred and bring in a decent manager then we might get somewhere... But, don't you think we should first assess, if there are any better players available on the market, before we hand him a new contract? We have a couple of months until the summer where we can look at players whose contract runs out, who are looking for a change etc. and might be available for decent money. I don't consider Le Sib as that kind of an important player where we under pressure to sign him up, before someone else does. If we are in June and haven't found anyone, then we can still think about giving him another one-year contract, but definitely not give him a new two-year contract yet.
  4. One of the positive things I have to say about Moore is that he at least tried to organise things at the back. If only it weren't for the fact that he is such a poor footballer... Given is far too quiet, too.
  5. How will they know when he is or not if they don't read what he says? It seems to me that, although he has said some silly things, he's said a lot of sensible things too. It's just that people latch onto the less credible things and have now tarred him with that brush. He's been in a no-win situation for a long time with those people. Some of the less reasonable reactions in this thread show that. © Leazesmag Hardly. I think you'll find I presented a pretty balanced argument there. You're getting a bit like Vic recently. Accusing people of not reading what Roeder says isn't a pretty balanced argument tbh. Anyway how can they latch onto the less credible things if they are not reading what he says. The fact that people whinge about a lot of Roeder's public comments is because of history of spouting shite which far outweighs the sensible things he said because they are more eyecatching. As I have said a couple of times, Roeder would do himself a favour in just speaking less to the public.
  6. Feel free to pick your favourite part of it. Mohammed Said el Patrokles will love it... Can this be merged please, Isegrim is too slow again. Pah, only because the lazy Scot didn't include his own thoughts...

  9. I would, if I knew how to do it. I am pretty thick me. Never heard about leechers etc. actually...
  10. The lack of seeders was my problem, but I am not really familar with this gipsy tactics. Isn't the original file much bigger than 517mb though? It would do for me, but I want it as a present actually. i ripped the files from a vcd - there may well have been a 4.7gig dvd version at some point but i never had it. I just had a quick look at it at peasepud's last summer. Thought it would be a nice present.

  12. I am currently looking for a copy of it as a birthday present for a friend. I can't find a place where it is sold online and all gipsy approaches don't work either... Ta.
  13. There is an apathy towards everything in this country that still completely astounds me. It's not just kids and it doesn't just apply to teachers, it's everyone. I'm not saying this as an attack against the British public but everything is just far too difficult for anyone to even try it seems. I don't know what it is, is it a lack of pride in their jobs? Is it that they've given up and feel as though no matter what they do nothing changes? Or is it just a general laziness? The English public just don't seem to give a stuff. I could site examples of what it's like where I work but I don't want any of the high-falootin' nurses around here getting shitty at me. You should try Germany for apathy. Especially Patrokles shouldn't try it, as there are the same clichés about teachers in Germany as there are in England. And I think there is something true about them. And I say this as my younger sister is a teacher, as is the husband of my older sister and I am sort of teaching myself (though at university level). When teachers try to defend themselves about the work they have to do and how they have to work outside of school, it mainly applies to younger teachers. The main thing about teaching is routine. The preparation to lessons gets less the older you get, and the more often you already did cover a subject before. So, if you are about a couple of years in the job, you really get the benefit of long holidays, an easy daytime job etc. And I actually don't know any teacher who is seriously denying it.
  14. I just remembered that I didn't really expose Cheyne/Adidas/Tyne/Alex. I think he did it himself, but after he did, I put up the link to the thread, where he was arguing with himself. I still think I am genius btw. And Hawks is next to Walliver (Ollie XXXwood) and Ritchie one of the old members of the official board I remember. I am still in contact with Teena, though, in case there are other people who remember her. And does anyone still remember Kamen from the early days, who pretended to be some talented footballer from Bulgaria, with trials at Kiev etc.
  15. I don't think you even read what people say. You just whinge about people whinging. Except of a few people most are actually praising Roeder on this occasion.
  16. Well a number of Spurs fans aren't happy with the setup: http://www.gg-chat.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=70196 Personally, I'm not convinced by the Chairman - DoF - Coach setup and would rather have the more traditional Chairman - Manager - Chief Scout heirarchy (while still recognising the importance of the latter). If Spurs want to get rid of Jol (they should) then which top class managers are going to want the job knowing they wont have control over which players the club buys and sells (even more so than just the chairman having a say)? Even if they get someone, with that system there are now 3 big egos to potentialy clash and fall out rather than the normal 2. I don't think it will be a problem when getting a new manager. All European managers are used to the system, where someone else is concentrating on the business and strategic side of things. And I think also the other big clubs in England have a similar system without it running under the title of a director of football, but are called chief executives or something similar. Look at the likes of Peter Kenyon etc. It's just Newcastle who just have Roeder and Fat Fred, who is holding most key positions at the club simultaneously. And I'd still llike to know how much he is involved in Shepherd offshores these days. A club like Newcastle nowadays need someone who is doing the business job 24 hours a day.
  17. He's starting to talk rubbish again, though.
  18. Can't be. Vic told me that there aren't any deals done in advance.
  19. Same with Babayaro, sadly. and, it seems, bramble too - that is if the rumours are to be believed and roeder really is moronic enough to hand him a new contract I'd be surprised if Bramble was on that much compared to Baba and Carr, he signed as a youngster with potential and hasn't had any contract extensions that I know of. I'd guess he'd be on the same as Milner and Jenas when they joined. Though, knowing our policy we are likely to hand him an vastly improved contract, meaning we are stuck with him forever...
  20. I think that is a problem with a lot of players ) on Newcastle's book and the reason why a overhaul is going to be very difficult (Luque, Babayaro etc. I think we would have got rid of Butt earlier if a club could have afforded him- especially when you hand the likes of Bramble new contracts....
  21. Hmm, I can't remember how I exposed him, but I was a genius IIRC.
  22. Tbf, with a bit less luck, ManU would have murdered us at SJP as well (where we had a lot less shots on goal). And to say we weren't lucky against Spurs is plainly ridiculous when they had 21 shots on goal...
  23. So, when all this is just a sandalista conspiracy and the usage of the language totally correct, why were the likes of Howard and Yobo evidently offended?
  24. The point is whether or not the comments were racist. Well IMHO calling someone a Negro out of anger is racist. It is a comment meant to hurt. It's not nigger, though, which has definite negative connotation. It'd be the difference between Pakistani and Paki, I guess. So where is Negro then. I know calling someone a Pakistani is saying where they come from. How does that equate to Negro? Negro essentially means the same as black. It's in no way derogatory. Paki means someone from pakistan so I am assuming you dont think that is racist either? Negro is neither Turkish nor English for black so why use it. It was a stattement based on someones race intended to cause emotional distress. Your argument is flawed because Paki is a derogatory term for Pakistani, whereas Negro and Black are interchangable. I wasn't even referring to a different language; Negro is a term used interchangably with Black in the English language. So you really think, Emre just wanted to be as polite as possible and had no intention of winding someone up by using foul language? That's not what I said at all. I was just explaining the difference between Nigger and Negro. Yes, but that is very technically and I don't think how it applies to this situation. As much as I am not a fan of Emre and don't expect him to be a totally idiot (well, ok I do). He knows how racism is dealt with in football. He knows it from his time in Italy, he knows it from his experience with the Turkish national team and he has been long enough in England to know the stance in British football. And while I am not considering Emre to be a racist himself, I think he is guilty of using language that is worldwide considered to be racist when used in the context of an insult.
