We wont get relegated. Pint half full and a pint in the pump.
-
Total shit so far. Sitting far too deep. Tiote is best winning the ball back in the middle of the park not infront of the box. Guthrie just looks nervous. Push up and play for fuck sake. Ameobi has done absolutely fuck all when on the ball.
-
would fuckin love us to get adam johnson! Exactly what we need on the right wing. Wont happen in a million years though.
-
Carroll and Taylor looked pretty pally at the weekend like.
-
I like that line up and finally guthrie in the middle. Time for routledge to stand up and perform! Come on lads! 1-0 Carroll

The type of player we need to play alongside Carroll
Deano replied to Holden McGroin's topic in Newcastle Forum
Podolski and carroll are dynamite together in my FM11 team! We need players of the same class of solano, robert and bellamy....obviously. -
Anyone else think the big AC and Walcott is gonna be englands future front line? Perfect mix iyam. 1st england game in long time iv genuinly been excited about. Come on Andy! Put in a shift and get a goal! He deserves it. Oh and dont get injured.
-
Probably gonna line up like... ---Krul--- ---Simo---Willo---Colo---Enrique--- ---Routlegde---Guthrie---Smith---Jonas--- ---Nolan--- ---Carroll--- Tiote is suspended rite? 1-0 Carroll

What? Posts like this make me worry about fans like you and their mental health. Bi-polar? FSA was always gonna do what he did...we just didnt turn uo tonight. It happens to the best of teams. Look at our start. Thats not relegation form. Aye thats a few home games which hasnt went our way but we will turn the home form around. Twinned with our away resilience we will be fine.
-
Well... Lets be honest here fat sam came to do a job on us and he succeeded. Aided by the fact we were fuckin awful tonight. Put it down to tiredness, over confidence and naivity. The atmosphere was fuckin shit tonight too...no cunt singin...boils my piss like that there is large section who only sing when we are doin well. Aye its the players jobs to put in a good shift but we as fans hold some responsibilty too. We need to get behind them to kick start. That said...apart from carroll, everyone was shit out there tonight. Let this be a wake up call and for us to address it with a win at the weekend. Dont lose sight though....9 from 12!!

For all FMA's wrong doings....... I actually think what he has and is doing right now is for the best interests for the club. He has spent a very moderate amount on the playing squad but took the gamble that we would stay up without a massive outlay on new players and then come next season be in an ever strong position financially.....up until now its working. RE CH's contract...again i think it makes sense going off our history of sacking managers and big pay offs too wait and see how he/us are fairing come the new year. I think its fair and reasonable. That said. Hughton is now starting to win over the vast majority of fans and they/we are actually starting to see him come into his own as a manager. He has plodded on with integrity through all the shit. The shit which all other managers coudnt handle. He has galvanised what looked like a rusty shit team into a force, a tight knit group and is getting the best out of players we havnt previously seen. I.e Shola and Barton. He has handled Carroll well and aided his progression. He's led us to 5th in the league, best away record in the league, massive away wins and the monumental mullering of the mackems. So yes....he deserves the contract... Personally i think the contract will be sealed in January, when they said it would be. Finally we have some stability, some gradual progression and most importantly some very solid foundations to build upon. Happy days.

Absolutely delighted! Gutted i had to work and missed the game but what a nice suprise once i got home! Like others have said, notably CT...We really are looking like a GOOD side now. 5th place man! The negative people really have to sit up and take notice now. 3 away wins in london this season so far, 2 of which were against top 4 sides. Best away record in the league. I am so fuckin proud to be a geordie right now, more so than i have been for a long long time! I think the last time i felt like this about a team was when SBR was in charge. Some say we arent as good a side as teams gone by, and to an extent i agree but look at some of the football we've played this season. Look at the team spirit....i dont actually think iv noticed a team spirit quite like this one in the whole time iv supported the toon! CH does seem to have something about him, we all had our doubts but like alot of our players he just gets better and better. We definitely have found our starting line up, a team thats capable of beating alot of side, not just ones inferior to ourselves but the big boys too. I have always been optimistic and its showing now that is just a so much better way of life I have 100% confidence in us staying up comfortably and with a bit of luck and the team staying together and performing like this then we could sneak a european place. I dont for one second expect it to happen but lets face it...going off facts and recent form its possible. Soo fuckin happy man. Now for 2 very VERY winnable home games in which we can really stamp our authority on and make the most of the last 3 results.

Will be a completely different game to last week. We will go out with our strongest team and on the back of two great wins. I think arsenal will obviously boss it being the home side and of better quality but we will stand strong play a bit of football ourselves and snatch a 1-1 draw.
-
Definitely, with Tiote dominating the centre and the way Ameobi and Carroll are holding the ball up ahead of him Nolan will find so much more freedom. Freedom that Guthrie, Gosling, Ben Arfa or Barton would also enjoy. Hard to drop him though, not in this form. I dont think any of those others mentioned would take full advantage of the knock downs and space created like nolan does. Im quite happy with nolan and barton doin what their doin right now. I slated nolan mainly for his work ethic, never doubted his goals but now, in midfield we are actually seeing amd getting the best of him and his experience.
-
I actually took it as he was talkin about the media speculation.
-
Agreed. Like i said the cover is decent but we do need a couple more. Im hopefull about gosling but like guthrie where will he fit in when fit? One for the future imo. Him and vuckic a future CM pairing.
-
Have we now found the starting 11 thats going to keep us up? And comfortably? I think we mite just of. On the last two league performances we have seen a very well drilled team. A team who is fluid and a great chemistry on the pitch aswell as a great desire and team spirit. Putting Barton out on the right might just be a stroke of genius. Him and Simpson look to be linkin up well what with joey's creativity and ever improving form and danny's overlapping runs and return to fitness. We continue to see jose and jonas work well on the left and through the middle we are also seeing some great partnerships forged. Willo and Colo have looked solid all season and have really impressed. They must take alot of credit. Tiote and Nolan looks to be a great mix of tenacity composure and movement. Goals, running beyond the strikers, closing down, ball winning and ball retention. And finally we are starting to properly see Carrolls potential. His all round game is improving all the time. For a big lad, not only is he great in the air but he is well able with the ball at his feet. Brings so much more than just goals. Strola has looked good last two games too. Link up, good touches and an eye for goal. This...IS the team that will keep us up. Strong starting 11 and some decent depth in the two taylors, kadar and sol in defence. Guthrie, routledge, vuckic and smith in midfield and lovenkrands and ranger upfront. That said it is still apparent we are 2 players away from what we need. Come on Mike, do whats right and bring in a striker, and another winger of good quality as backup.
-
I think with tiote in there now nolan has the freedom to play his game to his ability. His movement and composure infront of goal is so important to us. We are getting more from him in this role and it allows us to play 2 up top.
-
That has to go down as one of our best performances ever.
-
Would of been nice to keep a clean sheet but hey i dont give a fuck they scored! FIVE FUCKIN ONE! People have got to start believin in us now after that! We battered them and that will shut the stupid fucks up from the other side. Today we showed everyone we ARE a PL side...and a good one at that! Well done boys!!
-
I fuckin HATE mackems man.
-
Should clubs be forced to live off their natural turnover
Deano replied to Drifter's topic in Newcastle Forum
Would be good for the game...as well as goal line technology or a goal line assistant and a minimum of 5 home grown players in any starting line up. Will never happen though. -
Probably... ---Krul--- ---Simpson---Willo---Colo---Enrique--- ---Barton---Nolan ©--- Tioté---Jonas ---Strola---Carroll--- Subs: Soderberg, Kadar, Perch, Smith, Guthrie, Raylor and Lovenkrands 2-0 Carroll and Strola Nice to see the injury list clearing up too! Only Ben Arfa Harps and Best crocked long term. Gosling, Saylor and Sol back in training.
-
What i can see happenin is we will get the new year and when Chris asks for money to spend as part of the new deal he will get told no point blank and be forced to leave. Personally i want him to stay in charge, keep us up and then at the end of the season when we are safe MA fucks off and sells us. Possibility?

Where and when was this said? Just strange to be posted in the match thread out of nowhere.
