  1. Aye, I gave mine up when the second bairn came along to spend more time with them at weekends. Initial idea was to go back after a few years but now I couldnt dream of giving up the weekend to go to the match. Mix of knowing time with the kids is more important and total apathy towards the club.
  2. I like examine.com, its useful to see if "claims" are based on only a dozen tests or are legitimate studies based on thousands. Naturally the vast majority simply are not understood enough and research continues and new findings are constantly revealing things about the body that weren't understood fully.
  3. Update on Vit D - http://examine.com/blog/the-truth-about-vitamin-d/

    Keeping fit

People wear both. Please not at the same time superman
  5. Tbf its a loan for the season with an agreed price to buy at the end. Sensible approach to see how he does.
  6. Pointless stats. Its well documented that he has struggled since his move there. He scored 36 in 76 at FC Twente and its that form we are "hoping" he can recapture. He scored 8 in 31 last year with BM.
  7. Yup. Im more inclined to believe we'll settle with De Jong (and we do need another forward) and we'll not get this lad "over the line" and likely be priced out.
  8. Cracking player (though Ive not seen loads of him) which makes me pessimistic about signing him
  9. Just as well we saved all that TV money from the summer so we wouldnt need to sell to buy eh...
  10. Thats just it. this is nothing like selling AC for £35M. That was a fucking steal. Most were pissed off selling AC because of the timing and we didnt have a replacement (still fucking dont...) but as far as being a good deal goes, it was one of the best we've done. This is different. AC was replaceable for much much less. While YC may be replaceable it will be hard to get someone of his ability for circa £10M. Which is what I could imagine us doing. I'll be gutted him leaving like, in fact Id go as far as to say it will be the worst sale fat fuck has made as far as being detrimental to the playing fortune of the club. Demba Ba aside who forced our hand.
  11. Never tried it. I generally only go for stuff that has been researched and trailed in correct conditions numerous times. I'm sure there's something about some vit/mins needing fat for the body to absorb them. Also reading a lot lately about sugar and it connecting to cancer (as every fucking thing else!). I have a fairly low sugar intake daily like. 59g today which is high for me and 33g yesterday. It's pretty scandalous that supplements are unregulated like. The amount of fat burners on the go that are generally bollocks but sell due to people's need for a quick fix.
  12. Ok, Im worried that my first thought was "that bins not central" rather than "why the fuck are two bogs next to each other"
  13. I dont take and wouldnt advocate multi-vits. For one, you dont actually absorb the whole thing anyway. Getting anything from real food is ALWAYS the better option. However, I refer back to my point about Creatine supplementation. That has multiple benefits. Fish oils (if you dont have enough in your diet) is also deeply researched and well worth supplementing. Also consider, very few people eat a varied and healthy balanced diet, most people eay waaaaay too many processed carbs, corn syrup & trans fats.
  14. Bollocks you cant make a sweeping statement like that man. Well, you can
  15. If I was going to recommend one supplement to anyone, male or female training or not, it would be creatine. Nothing fancy, just Creatine Mono in its basic form. Its one of the most researched supplements and has had so many positive findings its way ahead of anything else.
  16. Oh, and about to try Glucosamine Sulphate. Its works for some people but not others. It can help the cartilage absorb water (they can dry out and crack with age). I have a dodgy sore knee so Im hoping it may aid it.
  17. BCAA (micro as its a bitch to stir in to anything) Fish/Krill Oil Creatine I have those daily. Then Whey Isolate on days when I've not ate enough dead stuff, which is seldom.
  18. I like the third one up as the light starts to hit over the landscape.
  19. See some bloke cycled over some new bridge. somewhere. Yeah, all in the detail eh.. Ok hang on ... Here - http://news.sky.com/story/1195286/bmx-rider-pulls-off-wheelie-cool-bridge-stunt
