  1. I eventually blocked him, sorry Fish
  2. I dont want to bring this down to a LM rant, the daft thing is I sometimes had good discussions with him. He does have good knowledge and experience. But he just doesnt have the ability to hold a human conversation which is a shame. His ranting on here which became his ranting on twitter shows that. He also completely fabricates the past to support some sort of point he is continually trying to make to anyone who walks past. Much like the Zealot bloke at the monument with his end is nigh sandwich board. If he was to be believed, the whole of TT was pro Ashley and anti-Fred when in fact, which was always my point, most people were in the middle. A lot actually agreed with LM but he could never see it
  3. Always reminds me of that Monty Python sketch. "How much do you hate Sunderland?" ... "A lot!"
  4. Changes nothing other than he (MA) is one scapegoat less. Be interesting to see who writes the notes in the program in place of JFK.
  5. Maybe but I not sure his heart is in it. As it stands, not sure what we have to lose. I'd feel better him coming off the bench than Shola tbf.
  6. Welcome news though not expecting much to change. If anything, hopefully it might lift the mood at the club and our game. I can picture APs cheesy grin already...
  7. Out of pocket or out of cash in hand. He may have handed over the money, but he still has a football club and stadium as an asset.
  8. In some sense Im glad he is getting stick from all quarters, but he wont give a shit. He's known for doing things his way.
  9. So long as the club is making him money I assume he isnt arsed. Relegation is no good to him as the club will lose money, its advertising platform and attractiveness if he did want to sell. Likely has no desire to try and compete as that takes money, effort and a plan. "tread water" seems his safest bet.
  10. You can never tell whats going on in someones life. Cracking Actor. What a waste. Reading that he struggled with drink and drugs since his 20s. the comment "Ive never been interested in drinking in moderation" attributed to him. After being dry for a long time slipped off big style. RIP.
  11. I work in Mackemland and Im sick of hearing their bleating. They've said fuck all for a year and now they're back from under their cheesy rocks. We're fairly muted and rightly so as you say. Hate these games at times but dont think its a forgone conclusion.
  12. If, IF it were true, shouldnt they speak to JFK (Gawd....) or Lee Charney
  13. Aye, I gave mine up when the second bairn came along to spend more time with them at weekends. Initial idea was to go back after a few years but now I couldnt dream of giving up the weekend to go to the match. Mix of knowing time with the kids is more important and total apathy towards the club.
  14. I like examine.com, its useful to see if "claims" are based on only a dozen tests or are legitimate studies based on thousands. Naturally the vast majority simply are not understood enough and research continues and new findings are constantly revealing things about the body that weren't understood fully.
  15. Update on Vit D - http://examine.com/blog/the-truth-about-vitamin-d/

    Keeping fit

People wear both. Please not at the same time superman
  17. Tbf its a loan for the season with an agreed price to buy at the end. Sensible approach to see how he does.
  18. Pointless stats. Its well documented that he has struggled since his move there. He scored 36 in 76 at FC Twente and its that form we are "hoping" he can recapture. He scored 8 in 31 last year with BM.
  19. Yup. Im more inclined to believe we'll settle with De Jong (and we do need another forward) and we'll not get this lad "over the line" and likely be priced out.
  20. Cracking player (though Ive not seen loads of him) which makes me pessimistic about signing him
