Isn't it time to start Ben Arfa, Marveaux and Santon?
JawD replied to Dr Gloom's topic in Newcastle Forum
I think everyone agrees we need changes buy you can see the tough choice pardew has. If he changes and we lose our first game you could see the stick he would get. Plus a chance that player taking some blame. Also changing for the tougher games coming is a tricky one. I would make some changes and i would do it now rather than wait any longer. The cup game is a perfect chance to see how Marv and Ben Arda cope a full game. I'd certainly be looking to start those two in the prem at the expense of Obertan and Best. I'd give Santon the cup game but not sure about starting him in the prem. -
As has been said, this is exactly the type of game we'd slip up on previously. I still think it could be tighter than some but reckon we'll come away with 3 pts.

Aye I'll chuck something in. Won't be till I'm back home Sunday night.

Got around to upgrading. New 4S should be with me tomorrow. thankfully the 32G and not the far too small 16G.

One of the young trainers in the gym is stunning. Wears leggings and a sports bra thing. Aye, it is a lass btw

Busy sorting through a shit load of shots from a recent studio day. Here's one I've just done that I was pleased with.

Btw, how fucking mean does Tiote look. Swear he is morphing into Mr T.

Another thing is this "no more trophy players". While I understand the basis of this comment, I dont think there are that many "trophy" players. There are good players and there a going rate for them. I think £10M-£20M seems more normal these days but a "trophy" signing would be well over £30M. By trophy signing I think of players like Shearer and Owen that we had. Shearer being well worth it and Owen naturally not. Looking around the league signings like Veron etc are huge gambles but if you want to compete top 4 long term you need those signings. I think us spending >£10M will be few and far between.

Perhaps we need another quality CD in Jan rather than a striker.

I still think we need a forward. Its a must. I still dont rate Best but have been impressed with Ba. Need to see how Santon fits in but while we are "getting by" with our current back four (despite some woeful shows from the flanks) we have zero options. We are fucked if we are hit with any real injuries and thats the reason I see our position falling away over time (plus when we play the "big guns"). -
I think this is the thing for me. Its a bit like LM rightly points out. No one was having a go at Freddy for the way he ran the club when we were in Europe, only when the wheel came off. So I suspect the same for the current lot is true. They deserve every spit of abuse they have had but perhaps with some sustained good fortune on the pitch over a couple of seasons people may start to ignore the short comings. Its what happens on the pitch thats most important after all. I still cannot get past the feeling though that there is a fuck up around the corner. Like letting colo go as he wanted too much and waiting 2 windows to replace him (for example). If we do finish top 10 this season, its whether he would support Pardew to push further or whether his spending and rules restriction would strangulate us preventing improving much past mid table. Who knows.

I know for a fact I prejudge people before even talking to them. I think its human nature. I dont have a problem with overweight people as such, its the ones that moan all day about it and do fuck all to change that get to me. Or when I see a huge and i mean HUGE person walking (just) along stuffing their face with a pizza or cake. Its their choice I guess but sadly in their (fucking huge) shadow you often see a young kid heading the same way and thats just sad. Chavs though, I have zero time and zero tolerance. Those that give a fuck about no one but themselves. Those that care nowt about society and how they can mix in and improve it. Self centered fucks who are limpets on the system.

True to a sense. That comes down to Pardew, the coaches and players themselves. But then does that mean that us reaching the champions league had nowt to do with the previous owners? The owner gives the manager the tools (or takes them away) so "some" degree of blame or credit has to be given. To me, relegation was all down to MA. Not the players. He fucked around with managers making some mental decisions giving us one of the most unsettled periods I can remember. I dont blame KK or even Fat Sam. Certainly not Shearer. The other twat was just a shite appointment.

Was on the news this morning that Pardew is asking for more respect to be given to MA for what he is doing with the club. the reporter stated that this came from Pardew and not MA. At the game MA was only stating that they are all working hard to make the club "healthier". As we have some heavy critics of all that MA does here (myself included), Im wondering if anyone is softening in their option of the way the club is being ran? Many have and still do state that you cannot run a football club in a healthy way and that debts must be racked up if we are to compete on any level or even survive in this league. I have noticed critics start to warm to the clubs approach and start to think that just maybe it is possible if done right. Many of us have said that while it is ok and "lucky" to find one Tiote we would need to invest heavy to keep finding that caliber of player. However now we have Cabaye and Ba who both were "cheap" in comparison to todays market as well as Ben Arfa. The downside is that many state we are only doing this to sell them on. Yet, AC aside, we havent sold a single one of these recent purchases for a large profit. Many said Tiote would go in the last window but stayed. Many said Jonas would be and colo but both are still here. Then we have the problem of when a player does sign a new contract we state it is only so the club can command a higher transfer fee. It seems like no matter what the club do we go out of our way to find the negative slant. As for my opinion, I'm still on a knife edge. I always feel that for every good move the club do there is a disaster pending. At the moment my concern is squad depth. I think we need that elusive forward to play with Ba / Ben Arfa and we need a center half to support Colo and Taylor. I can almost ignore the billy sticker view of the ground when what matters is what happens on the pitch and currently everything is rosy. The mission statement while offering nothing new showed that from next year the club hopes to be breaking even. I dunno, I dislike MA but I feel I have a hatred to DL. MA I can see is trying to run the club like Sports Direct which has worked for him. But DL I just see as a sleazy untrustworthy henchman. It is harder to give them stick at this moment in time while things are going well and at least they are not getting ahead of themselves. We all know that we will slowly drop down the table but Id be pleased still being top half come next year. At what point do we get behind MA and what he is doing or do we remain permanently sceptical until the day he sells?

Coloccini - “I want to stay – and I want to get Newcastle back into Europe.”
JawD replied to Tooj's topic in Newcastle Forum
Hope we can sort a deal out like. Too common to hear these words rattle inside and empty can when it comes to the crunch and the players (or his agent) want more money. If we believe what we are told with what he is on now, plus what he has said here, you'd think it a formality unless the club plays funny buggers and tries to drop his wage etc. -
Blue aint the best colour to highlight with like

Or that space... Is there a phobia about open spaces? I reckon MA just doesnt like empty walls. Bet his house is full of shite across his walls

Yeah still quite happy to do one at my place, no probs there at all. Just let me know. I'll let you know when that next group shoot was happening. I think the next one was an alt shoot night so I was particularly interested. Any other things Id always be up for something. Im not in it for money so no worries on that side. I already have a stressful job so this is purely for enjoyment for me!
