Yeah the BMI is a pretty horrid tool. It is useful as a guide if you are totally out of shape. But the fitter you become the less useful it is. Muscle is heavier than fat so a 16st 5' 10" bodybuilder with 10% bodyfat would show with a high BMI.

It's that time again when I decide to do something for charity and come begging for your hard earned cash. this time around I am doing the Zip slide off St James' Park on the 20th April. You can read more or enter yourself here - http://www.nufc.co.uk/page/Foundation/News/0,,10278~3034172,00.html I may well do it in fancy dress as well but have yet to decide. In for a penny and all that. Donations can be made here - http://www.justgiving.com/Darrel-Birkett If you can give anything, even the smallest amount, I'd much appreciate it. Cheers

Lightroom has a clarity slider so you can change a whole image. I already had the background blurred by using a wide aperture. So when I reduced the whole image I could then spot recover the clarity on the woman using the small brush tool in lightroom.

We do supersets, so for example Ill to 1 set bench and 1 set dumbell fly with no rest between. Then Ill rest 30-45 seconds. On the 5x5 sets i do rest more between as Im using a heavier weight. When he has me doing supersets of 4 (Monday was Dumbell reverse front raise - Single Arm Dumbell Bent Over Row - Dips - Barbell bent over row - Rest) I was fucked after each full set. Good though.

These shots were a few from the WWT in Washington.

Couple more from recent days out. These from a day out on Northumberland St. This was prob my fave of the day. Taken with an open aperture and then I further softened the background in lightroom by reducing clarity. I increased some clarity on the woman. Was late in the day so got a nice backlit effect. This was two lasses busking. I took a few shots of them but I liked this one from behind (wehey!)

Good shot, from composition Im not sure if Id have had 1/3 treeline 2/3 depending on if there was more interest in the sky / ground. Sometimes, like here, the rule of 3rds should be broken Id probably have taken the shot a couple of times to see how they came out. Another way is lowering perspective, getting the camera right down on the ground. Ice/Snow is a bitch to get right as if you get any sunlight on it then it blows out and if you drop the exposure it underexposes parts. Dodging/burning can be very handy here. Id also say getting hold of a polarising filter here is handy as you can get rid of some of the reflection. This is a great shot also to mess with blending layers. Take a bracketed shot, so 3 or so exposures. One exposed for the trees and another for the sky and another for the snow. then blend them together in photoshop.

Sounds like what I've been doing. The negative of the rep is usually over a few seconds. Thats actually more important than the positive element. So 1-2 seconds up, 4 down etc. We do 4 week cycles. So 4 weeks doing 5x5 routines, currently in 4 weeks of doing 4 x 8rep sets though last set is doing as many reps as you can, then the last 4 weeks is usually 10-12 rep sets. Concentration is on good form and the full movement etc.

I thought we had offered him a contract but he knocked it back? Wanted more cash?

QPR and Villa down? Could fortune smile that wide?

Sounds like it could have been about Gazza doesn't it. End result as well.

Not saying I'm right, but based on what I've seen I always get the impression people loved seeing him pissed and i can imagine him buying drinks all night. Reckon he has had a very lonely life and most "friends" bought now don't want to know. Don't excuse the man for the shite he has done but clearly this is a bloke who has needed help for a long time. It's painful to see and must be agonising for anyone who sees him regularly. For his agent to put him on a stage in that state? Fuck me. Very sad

Totally true. I can read one researched article one day due to a "study" and one that totally contradicts it the next.

Prob you as well, but training has become a bit of a hobby. Much like some play 5 a side. Only with my hobby its not just a the gym its when I eat as well. Its how I think of it anyway. Oh, and for the first time since fuck knows when I bought a size medium T Shirt yesterday and jeans with a 34 waist that still needed a belt

Moussa Sissoko signs for Spurs for like £30m or WatEVA
JawD replied to Park Life's topic in Newcastle Forum
You could pay £10M for him and think you had a good deal like. Easy. Man what a feeling it must have been to score on your debut with the crowd today. Especially the third.- 1745 replies

Its really not that bad. sometimes if I am hungry by mid morning Ill eat something. If Im not bothered Ill wait. I get up at 5.40am, out the house at 6am and its a 25min drive to the gym. By the time Im at work its 8.30am and I have a cuppa (black coffee), Im fine with that really. I still have stuff now and again, if I'm at a sales meeting I still stuff my face with a bacon sarnie etc, its just occassional not daily.
