Well, booked my tickets for them last night.
-
Ive not seen them, but I am also sitting here with the tapfs flyer and reckon I might get myself along.
-
Carr back as well. Whoop.
-
You do know our tickets dont go sale for ages yet dont ya?

Aye, ask the loafers at the council. Generally though any structural change needs planning and anything that alters the appearance of the outside (majorly). You have to submit plans of your changes and it costs a few hundred depending on the works involved.

Yeah Id like to see him here and see what he could do. But, as mentioned, internet generated rumours are not something I hold on to.

Though Martins has failings, he is in a shit struggling team, yet still hasnt had a bad return for his first year with us. I'd like to see him stay and see how he develops.

Lets look at it simply. Remaining Games and likely points Sheff Utd (A) - 1 Arse (H) - 0 Ports (A) - 1 Chelsea (H) - 0 Reading (A) - 0 Blackburn (H) - 3 (no really!) Watford (A) - 1 Gives us 6 points, leaving us on 43 points. question is, can Charlton get 14 points, or West Ham 18? They both have 21 points to play for. Charlton are at City on Friday and at home to Reading on monday. Then they face Everton, Sheff Utd, Blackburn, Spurs and Liverpool. They need 5 wins or 4 and 2 draws. Possible for Charlton yes it is. If we get the results Ive suggested, then we need to watch our backs as we will get sucked in. Though a slight improvement will keep us safe. My own feeling is that we will be fine, but should we even be in this position to start with? Our worst points total in the Prem is 44, finishing 13th & 14th. I think thats likely where we will be this season. Joy.

Of our current crop, Dyer is one of the few Id actually keep.

Id push for safe terracing for the east stand. Never happen like.

Was a great gesture. Am I being to cynical connecting it to their season tickets going on sale tomorrow (for renewals)?

Oh, and its worth noting that planning has only just been applied for so I assume could yet be rejected.

As for not filling 52k so why extend to 60k, thats a bit short sighted. As to why bother extending and just do the hotel etc, it could be getting done in the expense of the hotel etc (and casino?) as part of the deal. Plus, easier to do that now when other building works going on that a totally independant project at any other time. Ive not looked into the funding, but its seems that the hotel and conference centre will produce new streams of revenue, not sure if that will fund it short term (or that could go directly back to the club), could be the sale of the apartments (like any other building project, self funding if you can guarantee the sale/price). but more so, Id think it would be connected to any casino as that would be ran by a.n.other who likely have to pay something to the club for operating/location etc. All in all, I think its a good step. however, I agree its poor timing of the announcement naturally making people sceptical. I was totally at a loss with today. Ill admit that before the game I was ... I think the word would be apathetic. The game was woeful. GR can not blame (or not not blame?) injuries now. He knew Owen would be out for the season. with a questionable selection (Dyer imo should take parkers place in the centre to link the midfield and forwards. Sticking sib up front for now), the his boggling subs followed. I can only assume Moore took a knock? If not, what was the point of that change? Bringing Milner and sib on was fair enough, but to what point? he didnt change anything? Again, Id have swapped Sib for parker and dropped dyer into the centre. I thought Duff had an improved game, but thats about the only positive I could draw. Pathetic result but what we deserved from a game of two awful teams. Once more, decidedly average from a decidedly average team and manager. He lost the crowd today.

False teeth out I hope.... <shudders>

Hey, Im not murdering pigeons or anything Anyway, it sat in my drawer for a while, now I kinda ended up keeping it. Maybe I best get rid when the wee un arrives :/

Aye, think I read the other day that with Shola back, Owen, Martins & Sib GR see's us as being well covered up front for next season. Right.

Yep. Ok then, when I was on a YT scheme (1989 ish), I was working in the yard and a couple of us seen this frog (small about 1" body). Anyway, it jumped into a tin of adhesive. I removed it from the tin using a penguin rapper where it remains, encased to this day. Odd I know.

Devils Backbone. Earlier Del Torro film set in the Spanish Civil war. Good easy to watch, classic "ghost" story.

Was just saying the same myself over the weekend while I was up around Rothbury. Still, a bit of a treck like.

Roeder: No one could have done better than me!

A point I was making this morning. Both managers appointed in similar circumstances. Already connected and a fairly easy appointment. Both churning out inconsistant displays. All in all, very average. -
