It's a brave decision and obviously the correct one if he's been advised by professionals. It would have been easy to get swept away in the romance of making a comeback.

I expect this season to be tougher than last season. That's a good thing in a way though, brings us back down to earth and just shows how excellent of a season it was. Teams will have sussed us so it's how we deal with that. More teams will turn up at our place much tighter and negative than before and our reaction, attitude, and tactics will go a long way if seeing if we have the players and manager to push on. I'm looking forward to it, I just think that we'll need a bit of patience as I do fully expect some home games to be frustrating affairs. Good in a way, shows how far you've come when teams are turning up with a bit more fear. A good cup run would be class.

Big example was Becky Adlington. Let's be honest, she was unable to defend both her Olympic titles and finished well behind in 3rd in both. Usually 5Live would (and should) be asking questions and being constructive about what went wrong. Instead, it's a brilliant result apparently. Almost like they were too scared to be even the tiniest bit critical of anyone British. I'm not saying rip the poor lass apart and witch hunt her, but it just seemed very head in the sand and kind of summed their whole Olympic coverage up to be honest. Not objective.

Really glad the Games themselves did the talking, was not a fan of some of the hype beforehand and thought the torch relay was a load of corporate shite to sell tickets to be honest..just my opinion of course. Point is, after all that bollocks, the sport and the events did all the talking. Totally in love with Handball as a sport now like, cracking stuff. One last word on the Beeb. I though the tele coverage was superb, the fact that you could choose sports and channels to watch whole events from start to finish was excellent, meant I didn't have to sit through fucking Equestrian or Dressage (fuck me, seriously). Lots of options. Having said that, only negative for me has been the 5Live coverage. I listen to 5Live a lot, but I thought they were far too 'team positive.' It was just too much for me like, they stopped being objective to be honest and got lost in the patriotism of it all.
