  1. edit - just seen the last bit of his post. Mea culpa, he would still pay British taxes in NI obviously. That's me being stupid and I shouldn't have made the original post without engaging my brain. Genuinely don't have an issue with him not wearing a poppy, but always found it slightly contradictory that he's staunchly republican but chooses to live in England/Wales. On a side note, it's bizarre that such a big part of politics in this country (the troubles) was completely absent from my school curriculum. Literally wasn't even mentioned. I hold my hands up to being naive about a lot of it. I was brought up atheist and feeling far more "North Eastern" than "English"
  2. Just thinking out loud, and probably showing my complete naivety around some of this stuff. I don't have an issue with him not wearing a poppy etc. But is it not contradictory for someone who is publicly and vehemently Republican to live and work in England (or Wales)? Genuine question btw
  3. Immaculate minutes silence at the Celtic game today https://twitter.com/PLZSoccer/status/1855627469803462687
  4. I was watching Salah on MOTD last night thinking he's been consistently class for years now at Liverpool, and won just about every trophy there is to win with them, yet he's never been anywhere near a Balon d'or win? Vincius Salah
  5. Aye, what sort of numpty lets their kid walk into the home end with an away top on
  6. I've sat in the home end at Bolton, Sunderland and Wigan iirc. The Sunderland game was where Kieran Richardson scored a screamer. Never again. I think the bloke in that interview nails the bit about the flawed ballot though. The club can get fucked if it thinks I'm paying £37 to chuck my name in a hat when they refuse to say how big the hat is or how many names are in it. (Probably because they know half of the members would then cancel)

  8. 100% He's effectively moaning that he only wants to see his kids once a fortnight.
  9. They got criticised for the first one and made sure the same mistake wasn't made twice tbf
  10. I'm not having this "most incredible and biggest win ever" shite btw. 139million votes cast and less then 5million splitting them.
  11. Number 4 is a key point. A big chunk of the electorate don't want a sensible leader. They want someone outlandish who says stupid stuff that makes for good quotes on social media. That's why Boris was popular. And that's why Farage is growing in popularity. Labour need to get on board and start promoting some of the younger members of the party with a bit of personality. I've got no doubt that Starmer will steady the ship, but whoever shouts loudest at the next election is more likely to win
  12. Well this has ruined my morning!
  13. The bit I can't get over is where the club expected to pull £60mil out of its arse. I can't believe the plan was always to sell 2 of our best youngsters with 24hrs to spare
  14. His heads fell off apparently. His Mrs has moved back to the NW and taken the kids is the rumour
  15. I've no doubt a judgement was made on Barnes and Tonali at the time. But it looks a flawed judgement in hindsight since neither are currently starting and both transfers contributed to us having to sell Anderson and Minteh.
  16. Elliot Anderson rumoured to be in-the England squad this week. A player we sold for £15mil and a shit GK. And yes, hindsight is a wonderful thing, but it fucking stings to see a local lad and lifelong fan developing into one of the best young CMs in the country when he was desperate to stay here.
  17. I hope so, because between Tonali and Barnes we've dropped £100,000,000 on 2 players that don't get in our first XI when everyone is fit, whilst complaining that we don't have the wiggle room financially because of PSR to upgrade our CF and RW contingent
  18. Every post on twitter these days has comments full of Indian blokes/bots chatting absolute shite. I don't get it?
  19. It's almost as if it's a left wing budget where those with £millions in property/business owners are being asked to chip in a bit more towards the public sector rather than those on minimum wage . Fuck them all
  20. That midfield 3 and front 3 have much better balance than just playing our 6 best players
