  1. Just started watching the new Birmingham/Tom Brady documentary on Amazon. Rooney is every bit as thick and uncharasmatic behind the scenes as you would expect. Fuck knows how he repeatedly gets jobs in management
  2. The betting markets are unsuspended, so I presume that was just in response to a run of bets being placed rather than any actual insider info
  3. Although that might be Klopp doing Liverpool a favour and making it more likely that we sell Isak... it's like fucking inception this!
  4. The story isn't a fluff piece. It's pretty black and white...
  5. Might all be bollocks, but I've got a semi on anyway. Twitterati are saying (making up) that Klopp's advised him to pick us over the circus in Manchester
  6. https://x.com/Metro_Sport/status/1951407253812035768 😳
  7. He would be in breach of contract then
  8. I wouldn't rule out Liverpool putting in a late bid for Sesko now that Nunez is close to going to Saudi.
  9. Romano conspicuous by his absence btw. Isak is all he's fucking posted about for weeks and he's the only one not reporting on Liverpool saying they aren't returning with a second bid.
  10. Wor Flags display for Liverpool (H)
  11. Well whatever narrative they've been pushing for the past month with zero input from NUFC you pedantic TWAT!
  12. I don't want to get my hopes up too soon, but I'd fucking love it if Al-Rumayann has flown in and laid down the law, telling Isak and his agent he's staying and that's the end of it. Makes a mockery of Fabrizio, Ornstein and Jacobs making up stories that we've given Isak permission to agree personal terms etc.
  13. Good. Let Howe get him back onside. Add Watkins or Wissa as a Wilson replacement and get the fuck on with finding a CB and a CM and let's fucking smash this season
  14. Which means Liverpool have leaked it to everyone.
  15. He can put a transfer request in and forgo any loyalty bonuses he is due
  16. Just posturing from Liverpool. They want Isak and his agent to force the issue now
  17. Aye, there are plenty of examples of clubs refusing to sell want away players. Spurs and Lucas Moura, Forest and MGW, Liverpool and Suarez. If any club can afford it, it's us. Tell him he can signs a new contract or leave on a free in 3 years.
  18. I think most fans feel the same. The local journos were leaking a budget of £150m, with 3 or 4 first team upgrades being looked at. 2 weeks before the season starts and we've lost a CM and CF without replacing them, are on the cusp of losing our best player, have signed a bang average keeper, and are dangerously short in CB, CM and CF. Not our fault that our targets went elsewhere, but 100% our fault that it takes us an eternity to pivot to other signings. Pedro to Chelsea was done in a matter of days. As was Trafford to City. Elanga aside, our squad is worse now than it was 6months ago.
  19. Still facing charges from the FA for failing to cooperate with the enquiry. Which begs the question "why wouldn't you cooperate if you did nothing wrong?" I know the press have suggested West Ham would sell him for £25-30m, but surely that's bollocks given Madueke etc have done for double that
  20. Gonzales at City is on the chopping block apparently. 6 months after they paid £50m for him to cover Rodri's injury.
  21. This is where I have some sympathy for the club. We can't realistically give Isak £300k pw, because when Bruno, Tonali, Joe, Gordon, Elanga come to renew they will all want parity, and then we are fucked. It bit Arsenal on the arse a few years back when they gave Walcott and Ozil absolute fortunes to renew their deals and both were already past their best. Deals like that mean you can never sell the likes of Sancho, Rashford, Sterling, Grealish etc. because there are only 3 or 4 clubs on the planet that can afford those types of wages. Even Real Madrid got stung when Hazard decided to eat his body weight in chocolate after he signed for them. The difference between us and those clubs is they have enough of a recurring revenue stream that they can just swallow the loss in the accounts. We can't (yet).
  22. They've spent £100m on two young lads in Zirkzee and Hoijlund. One bad season and they've (likely) spent another £200m on Mbuemo, Cunha and Sesko to replace them. One day the penny will drop with players going there, Chelsea, City, that they are as expendable as anyone else, and are one bad season away from being jettisoned to the arse end of nowhere on loan.
