  1. It might be an unpopular opinion, but Willock has done fuck all of note since his initial 6 month loan here
  2. City game aside, we've either won games playing shit or lost games playing well this season
  3. You can add Dorries and Anderson to that list. Useful idiots but they will never be accepted as true Conservatives
  4. He's 21, of course he's not starting ahead of Bruno and Tonali. But it's already clear he's a technically better player than Longstaff
  5. It's a shambles. Relegated last season, 90% of the squad left because we offered them peanuts, Nobby sacked after 6 games, matchday volunteers now boycotting the club so games are getting postponed. The owner is nowhere to be seen. I called it on day one. He sold himself as a self made millionaire. His companies house record shows he's a grifter with no money behind him
  6. That's no dig at Gordon btw. It's just that's the one area of the pitch we have 2 x "purple players" and I suspect we will really regret selling Anderson and Minteh in a few years.
  7. https://x.com/cyp_toon/status/1846303321490853987 Canny thread. I don't disagree with the post suggesting that selling Gordon in the Summer (when we already have his replacement in Barnes), keeping Minteh/Anderson and possibly freeing up funds for other players wouldn't have been the worst outcome in hindsight
  8. I see the new owner has driven the club into the ground and is trying to sell again within 6 months
  9. Aye, but 15 of those innings were before his injury!
  10. Nice, but I imagine the payments could get you a mortgage on a small house?
  11. Stokes not in great form with the bat atm. Just looking at his recent games for club and country and he's not scored higher than 2 in 50% of his last 16 innings.
  12. Apples and Oranges Aidy Boothroyd, Howard Wilkinson, David Platt and Peter Taylor had good U21 records too
  13. I was being facetious, but the point still stands. They probably made their mind up after the first England camp. I imagine they canvassed opinions from the senior players on how it went. It's a lovely fantasy that we can grow our own coaches from the bottom up, but managing Bellingham, Kane, Foden, Grealish etc. isn't anywhere near the same as managing the U21s. Southgate's pre-England managerial career makes him look like Capello compared to Carsley
  14. I mean they tried that, then Carsley thought he was playing FIFA and started 6 attackers against Greece, we got humped and they obviously thought "fuck this, let's just get a decent manager". Tuchel being the best of the managers currently out of work. The number of supposedly serious pundits moaning about us hiring a German is hilarious. No-one can say who we should have hired instead btw
