Awkward convo between Sesko and Malick on the way back
-
-
We will pull out, and Man Utd will do what Liverpool have done with Isak to try and get Leipzig to accept a lower bid
-
With each passing day it's becoming more clear that Sesko wants Man United, but would probably settle for us as a consolation prize at the end of the window if they can't match our bid. Time to rescind the offer and move on
-
Flying back home from Tenerife today. Costa Adeje is nice if you head inland a little. It's a bit Benidorm by the beach and some of the craic from the tourists make you embarrassed to be English tbh. I've spent 95% of the week refreshing Twitter for Sesko news, so I'm chance to be divorced soon anyway.
-
I hope so. My more pessimistic take is Leipzig have accepted our offer now and Sesko is delaying until Man Utd can shift Garnacho/match our bid

2970 posts in the RTG Isak thread since 25/7/25.

So looks like tomorrow is the day we get an answer. And you would imagine it's not going to be good news given how long it's taken
-
They paid a base fee of €75m for Nunez. He's been shite and they're moving him on to Saudi for €70m. It's fucking rigged. PIF handing out cash to our rivals left, right and centre this summer
-
I'd take Ramos. We were heavily linked before he went to PSG. I'd take him above Wissa/Watkins tbh
-
Gordon is trying hard but you can tell he's not a natural striker
-
You've got to hope we've had the nod off Sesko's camp. Because what a monufuckingmental waste of time it will have been to be negotiating a fee with his club for a week only for Sesko to turn round and say "no thanks". If we lose out to him on top of Pedro and Ekitike in near exactly the same circumstances, then there needs to be an internal review to make sure we never have a window like this ever again.

Shit by Murphy, shit by Pope

Makes me wonder whether we plan on switching to 442? As for Isak. Barca are going to need a Lewandowski replacement next season. He would be tailor made for them
-
We are pretty much here at this point
-
Keith has a different take
-
They are after a bidding war
-
The longer it goes with no news, the longer I get a Pedro/Ekitike vibe about the deal. Prove me wrong Benjamin!
-
I would suggest not

Next 24-48hrs are key. Either Man Utd match our bid and we've got to hope the stuff yesterday about him choosing us is true, or they don't, and we are home free. I hope it's the latter, because if we bid first and lose out again after Pedro, Ekitike and Trafford, we will be a fucking laughing stock.

That £150m is probably closer to half that once we write off what we owe on him and add the 10% we owe Sociedad for the sell on clause. And whilst £100+mil for Bale, Grealish, Coutinho etc helped those clubs buy half a new team, in the 2025 market it buys you 2 Elanga's.
-
Sounds like no atm, but yes if they can shift Garnacho or Sancho. They might gamble and put in an offer for Sesko and hope they sell one of them later in the window.
-
I really hope this happens, just to piss off Ben Jacobs, David Ornstein and Fabrizio Romano as much as anything. The seeth coming through their tweets today is ridiculous. They've spent all week saying we wouldn't bid unless we got the nod from Sesko's camp, and now they are claiming the opposite. I'd laugh my tits off if we bought Sesko and refused to sell Isak Alternatively, of course, Chelsea sign Garnacho, Man Utd use that cash to buy Sesko and Isak forces his way to Liverpool. Which results in me burning my NUFC shirts and grinding off my magpie tattoo.
