  1. CT dangerously mixing cables of different voltages here.....is there a retained tender in Boldon?....
  2. Good point Fish, the games not played in a fuckin computer and you've got to take into account the squad make up and the nature of the manager. For me, theres not many sides outside the top 4/5 that have the squad and balancing players either side to play this system effectively. You can say you think HBA should play in behind a striker until you're blue in the face but its highly unlikely to happen here next season. Think you've got to be a bit more unselfish than HBA appears to be to be a success in that role. Can't say I've noted his range of passing into space for Cisse too much either. You've got to have a footballing brain, not saying he doesn't have one but he doesn't strike me as cerebal as a Beardsley,Bergkamp or Sheringham...the last of those 3 you'll note didn't have any pace and wasn't a dribbler either. He was one of the best practitioners of the art though. Tbh, there's more than one way to play it, Cantona was quite physical, Berbatov you'd barely notice during a lot of games. Thing is, Pardew is a defender by nature and I think he'd like us to play on the break more. Id leave him on the right and buy another flyer for the left, either side of Sissoko with Cisse ahead of them. Stick Cabaye and Tiote in behind them, with a back 4.
  3. I spoke to HBA's English agent last summer, ex pro, and he doesnt think he should play in behind the main striker either. Just saying.

  5. Lord Howell, a Government energy adviser and father-in-law to George Osborne You dont fuckin say?
  6. Hasnt one of the lads on here met Baresi at a work do or something? Didnt he say he admired our support to the TT member?...NJS? Gloom? slp?...
  7. Tweeting private details of transfer negotiations does seem a bit bizzarre. That is temepered though with Auslas basically taking a club in some ways (population, acheivements) like ourselves and turning them into one of the best sides in Europe for a decade. The nearby coal town of St Etienne was always a football hotbed. Lyon is huge but mostly middle class, OL have been watched by 3 men and a dog for most of their history. Now theyre the biggest club in FRance by miles. They invented the cinema there whilst their neighbours were dying in the mines 40 miles away. It is quite an acheivement for the Paul Daniels-looking freak.
  8. Only with you though....because you keep singling Pardew when he quite patently is only a sympton, not the cause. So I guess we're similar in that regard, only I can recognise where the real problem lays and you just stick your fingers in your ears and shout "LALALAALA I'M NOT LISTENING!!!!!" You want a better coach, so do I tbh..... Ashley wont pay for one though, that is the fundamental problem. And his alternative to Pardew is a horror show. But you keep poking Pardew with a stick, I just dont get anyone singling out Pardew. Its either the words of of simpleton or a wind up.
  9. Honestly, I dont know what to say..even after the appointment of Kinnear you still wont accept what the real problem at the club is...well, on here anyway
  10. So you're looking forward to "Kinnear 2: The Return of the King" then CT? ...the whole regime aren't fit for purpose and you're saying that if Pardew isnt capable of getting the best out of players he has little say in choosing then his failure is his own fault, with no blame attached to anything else?...
  11. The tories think their disaffected core vote will be placated by this. Ed Milliband is a shop dummy with a pulse. We're all fucked.
  12. I think he's under more pressure with Kinnear no doubt telling tales to Mike behind his back. Sacked before Christmas iyam.
  13. Agreed. I'd tell Bale not to take any notice of these fuckin wanks and to read Steve Mcmanaman's book. Just the 2 European Cup winners medals...just by learning the language asap and then playing well. The former helped the latter.
  14. So his interviews on appointment as DoF didnt convince you that hes a raging pisshead Scoobos?....
  15. As I've said before, Stuart Pearce for Forest did both without breaking sweat, so did John Beresford for us. Both were fullbacks. But lets not open that can of worms again...
  16. the question you should be asking is "are any of you in the England supporters club?" tha answer I imagine is no as its bad enough following fuckin Newcastle let alone another bunch of overpaid cock ends...and as for the England side...
  17. Err...thought I read 12 something last week, could be wrong, I'll just get me coat.. Your thinking is very logical, but that sort of money for a player who can go for free next summer is unrealistic to say the least and all clubs in for him will know this.
  18. They want £12 mill for a player in the last year of his contract:
  19. Didnt we finish 3 places below where we were on the 1st of Feb though?...that means ££££££££££s to Ashley..
  20. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/transfers/transfer-news-newcaslte-pull-out-of-the-hunt-for-lyon-striker-bafetimbi-gomis-8736401.html Sounds like the deal will be done if ours is the highest bid on 31st August.
  21. and who's favourite to be appointed the next manager of NUFC?
