Generic small time football blather thread 2015/16

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2016/07/21/sam-allardyce-and-the-american-lesson-that-buries-the-myth-of-hi/ Sam's the man because of a summer 30 years ago spent playing for Tampa Bay Rowdies We've heard all this cosmic fuckin buffoonery about him being one of the first managers to introduce proper sports science into the English game. What the fuck has he done with it though? Where have there been startling successes with it? He did ok with Bolton, that's fair, but one fifth place finish doesn't make you fuckin close to what KK achieved here. When he eventually got here, he was given a budget he's not had before or since and basically built the team who got relegated a year later. I'd like to know who represented who, and who got what in some of those deals, I think him and his son are a couple of pretty dodgy characters when it comes to transfer deals. So there you go, just below mediocre in ability and untrustworthy to the point of utter money-obsessed selfishness; just about right for the FA... -
Done deal according to Sky, medical today. Good player, lacks heart though.

The bulls knacka bulls knacka weighs in on Syria, and guess what?....it's a complelty different opinion to one he proffered last year https://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/jul/19/boris-johnson-bashar-al-assad-must-go-if-syrians-suffering-to-end

There's votes in renewing trident though, regardless of it's merits as a deterrent. The witless 52% who voted to leave the EU will all think it's a good thing I imagine; "keeps us at the top table" etc etc Reckon CT could go either way on this, could go just against the consensus on here as per normal and think it's a wizard idea, just to be contrary.......or he could double bluff seeing as I've mentioned it and think renewal is a a waste of public money, and there's far easier ways of getting it into the back pockets of Tory party doners, just for the sake of contrayness...

So how many games is he likely to get with Coutnho still there?...has the bold Phillipe been strongly linked with anyone?

1. Taking everything that PR wankstains say at face value 2. Taking everything that politicians say at face value 3. Why would you really, and pretty much unquestionably, want to do that?

Off to the red half of Merseyside?....hope Klopp can find him away from home because he tends to go MIA.... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2016/07/17/liverpool-chase-newcastle-midfielder-georginio-wijnaldum-as-jurg/

I've just read that US Secretary of State John Kerry phoned his counterpart in Turkey to assure him that the US had nothing whatsoever to do with inciting the coup in Turkey. Good enough for me

A lot of that reads that they've sort of accepted that relegation with Rafa was the second best outcome we could've had and were quite happy with it. They still quite can't believe it though

Pfft...no ones on about southern clubs. If you want to post on here mate you'll have to up your game a bit..

Frank Partridge on BBC world says the biggest problems are young Moslems in France being jailed for petty crime and coming out fully fledged jihadists. Also mentions French basically stopping Islamists taking over complelty in Mali and easy access to France for these bstrds due to EU open borders...

One successful decade in their history, before (and after) 65-75 they amounted to utterly fuck all. Their "greatest" achievement pre Revie was when the original football club in Leeds, Leeds City, were kicked out of the league for "financial irregularities" i.e.being the typically bent, tight fisted Yorkshire bastards we still know and love today. It's from these ashes the present club was formed, which went on to become only the third most important sporting institution IN THEIR OWN FUCKIN CITY Most of the natives being more concerned with cricket and rugby league....even at the height of their decade long period of being the country's most reviled set of dirty, cheating scumbags they never averaged more than 40k in any season. To put that into context, we averaged more than that the last time WE were in divi 2 ffs Brian Clough had it right when he told them "throw all the cups and medals you've won into the bin, they're worthless because you won them all partly by cheating" A worthless club followed by worthless fans if this gurning wanksock is anything to go by..

A fairly speculative piece here, tbf if we were to take all it says at face value it sounds pretty ominous for the uk in general. The conclusion it reaches does have the ring of common sense to it though.... http://www.politics.co.uk/blogs/2016/07/14/everything-you-need-to-know-about-theresa-may-s-brexit

I worked with a Leeds fan last year. In general his patter was the same as this. He truly thought they were among the country's leading clubs, regardless of what division they were in, due to many if the self regarding statements listed in the opening post. I asked him if that was the case why didn't some bunch of foreign gazillionaires step in and buy them?...he didn't really have an answer. I'd ask this individual the same. If it's so blindingly obvious that they are truly gods chosen club why the fuck have they spent the last decade flirting with, and for a spell, actually in division fuckin three?

What a lovely little box you've put me in I've voted labour twice, liberal the rest, never been on a protest march or rally of any kind. I suppose that does makes me a raving Trot from where you're sat. I'd say the difference between me and you is you only let what comes out the idiots lantern in the corner of your lounge inform your view of the world, which lets face it doesn't go far beyond your garden gate. The present system we have is irrepably broken as we sit here in the second decade of the 21st century, Tory/labour doesn't matter a flying fuck now, it's over for anything progressive, new or radical that will bridge the money gap between the ludicrous wealth shared amongst the tiny few at top who basically pay for the results of elections like we've just had, and properly financing public services that an ageing population needs. Perhaps someone may emerge from amongst the young folks who like Corbyn's ideals if not his abilities, his hearts in the right place bless him but there's too many out there with axes to grind on both sides to achieve anything progressive. What you're cheerleading for is more of the same, there was no choice for anyone at that fuckin hoax of a referendum. I can't think of anything worse at the moment tbh, other than that other giant bigot getting the shout in the US in November. You're welcome to it all mate.

Morning! I've had read through and for me it was cliche ridden toss bollocks for the gullible As for Boris being appointed as the UKs leading diplomat, am thinking the only reason "dear old" Prince Phillip didnt get the gig is due to his age, if that's the road we're going down. David Davis seems a good appointment though, to be matron and change the daft inbred cunt's nappy when Juncker and Merkel tell him to get to fuck
