1. I'll vouch that you're not a shit stirrer, nor are you a know it all twat unlike some scousers who post on N-O. Personally I won't believe it until I see him in a toon top. That said, all logic would point to him coming to us as opposed to 'Pool. Seeing they sold him 12 months ago for 8mil and won't want to pay more than that to get him back. They have an abundance of strikers and Rafa has said he wants to strengthen other areas first and, according to some reports, they'd expect Michael Owen to take a pay cut. Be great if it happens but I'll just wait and see before I get my hopes up!
2. That's quite a range.
3. He'd fit right in.... he never wins anything either!
4. Don't forget though that Souness also said Ameobi IS a 20 goals a season forward!
5. Of course he will as that's his "get out of jail free card". Several reports are saying that Liverpool will make their move for Owen after the supercup on Friday. So fat boy puts in a whopping bid to appease the fans then withdraws it on Friday so we can pursue other options . Liverpool are then free to get him on whatever ridiculously low price they'd like.
6. Must have something wrong with my eyes as I couldn't see Everton in amongst that lot.
7. Nah, got some nice cuff links though.
8. Can I be the first to say: Wanker!
9. 1, .45 Long Slide, with laser sighting 2, Freddy Shepherds address off eBay 3, Tank of petrol
10. Were we really that bad? Looking at the opta stats we had 3 shots on target, Bolton had 2 which they obviously scored from. It just sounds like it was a shite game all round and Bolton were fortunate they put away their two chances and we failed with ours.
11. Same thing though when we were linked with signing Rooney - "but we don't need strikers, we need centre backs". No pleasing some people!!
12. The scouser who drives my coach seems to think that Liverpool will sign Owen next week on loan for 12 months with an option to buy the season after. He seemed pretty confident too so I don't know what his source was but I got on and said "signed Owen yet?" expecting him to say he had no idea but instead he came out with that which really put the pisser on my journey home! So I turned on Sky Sports and there's nothing new on there exept all the pundits don't think Liverpool need him or want him.
13. Not mine. I'm still undecided on Souness mind, he's trying to get the right players in but the Fat man isn't assisting... and they're both to blame in getting shot of half our current squad for peanuts.
14. More of the 'hang around St James muppets?' ' Oh, some specualtion, I think I'll go and hang about SJP for the day despite the fact I'm 23.' 17143 You got a wireless connection then SLP?
15. Not another thread about Owen!
16. Is it Brett Emerton? 17064 Where's that quote from? Or can I expect to see a "whoosh" emoticon in the not too distant future?
17. Don't hold your breath - I just feel Owen is using Newcastle to get Liverpool to move to get him. Can't blame him, of course the way we are the minute. 16889 Agreed but whatever way you look at it, Everton were flatly turned down - he's actually stated that he is willing to join NUFC... 16895 Of course Everton were flatly turned down, that would be like Shearer signing for the mackems. We won't get him and Fat Fred will use this as an excuse not to sign anyone else.
18. Mary-Kate and Ashley anyone? If only!
19. If that was the case then I'd completely agree with you, however we know how Freddie's past "The ball's in their court" comments have turned out with Anelka and Boa Morte.
20. I'd say that's a fairly significant sum on the balance sheet come year end, unless you're playing football manager that is. 15903 If you're a greedy fat fucker who wants a large payout come the end of the year then you're absolutely correct. However, when you consider that each league place is worth 500k then anyone with an ounce of common sense could see that we'll finish higher up the league with some additional firepower than we would without.
21. Just glad the game isn't on the telly. Bolton are by far one of the dullest teams ever to grace a football pitch. I bet the Everton Bolton game at the w/e was a right old snooze fest!
