Apparently Brolly-boy had only 2 wins in his last 14 games with Derby, not that much better than Carver with 2 wins out of 16. All about winning isn't it.

Dire straits. Chances are? Newcastle---35 points...............possible 3 points from QPR...................................not likely. Leicester-----34 points..............possible 3 points from QPR...................................very likely. Hull------------34 points...............possible 3 points from Burnley...............................more than likely. Sunderland--33 points...............possible 3 points from Everton- Leicester..............could be.

With the absence of Janmaat & Willo(thank god) this is the team I would start against West Brom. Can anyone suggest better? Don't know the status on Cisse availability or any others. ..............................Krul ...Raylor........Colo.....Dummett........Anita. ...Cabella......Sissoko.....Colback.....Jonas. .................Perez.................DeJong.

I seem to recall Shearer was brought in to save us with more than 3 games left, and he didn't. Bring Brolly-man in for 3 would be like pissing into the wind. And let's face it, he failed to keep Derby in a play-off position by losing their last game 3-0 to a team lower in the league. In fact Derby were among the front runners for quite a spell then faded towards the end and apparently Brolly-man couldn't wave a magic motivational wand and keep 'em in a play-off position.

Carver was very, very wrong about saying what he did about Williamson deliberately getting sent off, but in retrospect there maybe a lot of truth in what he said. I guess the sad part is the lack of diplomacy, it's one thing to think something and another thing to blurt it out in public. Fact is, Willo knew he already had a yellow card and was cognizant that another would result in a red. So why did he make that challenge. The ball was over the line, the player was off the field, neither was going anywhere So what did Willo hope to accomplish by doing what he did? Perhaps it was a deliberate action to get sent off. The tackle was indeed deliberate and pointless.

Didn't expect Blunderland to get 3 points from Southampton. They could possibly pick up a point or 2 from Everton & Leicester but not likely from Arsen'all & Chelski. Hull could easily pick up 3 points from Burnley. Leicester could easily pick up 3 from QPR. Nothing but dark clouds, doom & gloom, in our forecast.

The plot thickens ........... Leicester pick up 3 points. Blunderland pick up 3 points. The gap is closing, relegation a distinct possibility now. Carver & Co. should not be in charge for our last 3 games. Give the job to the 2 supporters he had tea with, no doubt they'd do better. -

Why did Carver not play Cabella? Why does Carver insist on the merits of Riviere? The back 4 today should have been Janmaat - Colo - Dummett - Anita. Carver is without a doubt ...... Clueless. -

That was fucking woeful and painful. Small consolation, Williamson won't start the next match.....................YIPPEE. Offset by Janmaat not starting against West Brom................................FUCK. Full marks to Carver & Co. for maintaining the streak...........................GENIUS. Can anyone see us getting any points from the last 3 games after that performance? -
For want of a Nail the ship was last!!
-
Surely it could have waited until end of season or earlier if we were safe, if it's just a maintenance issue?
-
Is it safe to assume that having watched the Leicester-Chelsea match, Carver & Stone will have devised a game plan that will inevitably sink us deeper in the shite on Saturday?
-
Wots the odds? Carver has beaten Pardew's 6 in a row by 1. He could equal Dinnis's 10 in a row, even beat it by 1 if he loses the last 4 games.
-
Trooper, you are totally wrong about Willo, he has 3 passes to his credit. Back to Krul, boot it up-field, & don't forget to Colo.
-
What's probably ironic, when Carver was No.2 to Pardew he was probably telling his mates he could do a better job given the chance. Well he got the chance, and he was right, Pardew never lost 7 in a row. Next thing you know he'll be head-butting 2 people to go one up on Pardew(but unlike Pardew they may be supporters).
-
The next 4 games are going to be tumultuous to say the least. With Sissoko back and DeJong apparently ready, should be a big plus against Leicester unless Carver fucks it up with his line-up. If Dummett were available I would drop Willo, he's a handicap.
-
We probably have the easiest 4 game run-in compared with teams below us but according to our current form it's not going to be easy. Leicester - Away. West Brom - Home. QPR - Away. West Ham - Home. If we can't get at least 2 points from a possible 12 then we deserve to be relegated, Carver shot, Stone castrated, and Ashley hung.
-
No big surprise here other than we scored 2 goals. I wish we hadn't scored the first one, it raised hopes too high only for them to come crashing down due to an inept back 4.

Not excusing or defending Johnson but ..................I recall my first success at wick-dipping was with a 15 year old Gateshead lass. Mind you I was only 17 not 27. She had finished school and was working at the Co-op. School leaving age was 14 - 15 in them days. It seemed common place in those halcyon days and the only thing wrong was getting found out by her parents which was pretty unlikely when it was consensual, an' aal the lads an' lasses wer deeing it.

I guess the boycott didn't materialize as expected. 47,000+ bums on seats as opposed to 50,000 wouldn't make much of an impact. I can't help but think that calling for a boycott is akin to flogging a dead horse.
-
Result no fucking surprise, Colbacks goal gave a glimmer of hope, but hey, this is Newcastle and we're long on hope but short on rainbows. Krul should have stopped the first 2 goals albeit Gouffran was at fault for one. Cabella played well but sadly end result was lacking. Where was Jonas? he wasn't on the bench. Carver should not have started Gouffran, he should have started Armstrong in partner with Perez. When will he learn Perez cannot play as a lone striker. Any bets on Carver + Swansea = 7 in a row.

Carver + Gouffran = FFS.
