  1. Willo.............you luv me Mr Pardew. Gouffran.......you luv me too Mr Pardew. Riviere..........I luv you Mr Pardew please take me.
  2. Not really too harsh on Alnwick, he's 21, not a kid, and he's had tons of experience in goal albeit not in the Premier League. I recall Krul at an early age being thrown into the breach in the Champions league when Given & Harper were injured. He did well, which is more than I can say for Jak.........
  3. I could be wrong, but I have a feeling that Carver will start the same eleven that started against Everton based on 'don't change a winning team'. I'd like to see; ............................Jakshit. .....Janmaat - Saylor - Colo - Dummett. .......Sissoko - Tiote - Colback - Cabella. .....................Perez - Armstrong. Actually I'd prefer Haidara to Dummett but I don't know if he is available. It would be interesting to see what Perez & Armstrong could accomplish as twin strikers. Except for the Keeper, I think that's a formidable starting eleven to take on Burnley.
  4. Hey Salsaman, I would suggest you become a Palace supporter after reading your drivel about Pardew. Granted his hands were tied in some areas, but not in his starting team selections, not in his player substitutions, not in his playing people out of position, and certainly not when he stuck the nut on an opposing player. And his hands were not tied during his smarmy press orations.
  5. I had a dream(or was it nightmare) that BenArfa returned to the fold slim & feisty determined to prove his worth, prove he wasn't Pardewed anymore, prove Stevie Bruce didn't bring out the best in him, prove he loved Newcassel and be the star he is.
  6. C'mon, please explain why I got about 90 emails from Toontastic concerning a simple post I entered in this topic. and why is it showing I have 106 notations??
  7. I'm open to offers, I know I could do a better job than Pardew. Aa've bin aroond a bit an' aa'm a Geordie like. Gimme the job.
  8. If it should take a hefty sum of money to get rid of Pardew, and it's in the cards, then I think we should have a whip-around to help him on his way. I know I would be willing to ante-up a few bob to sweeten the pot.
  9. There is consolation in that they didn't score more than 3......and that Blunderland lost to Hull.
  10. It's more often than not construed as here say but my uncle George Carson told me about a football scrimmage on Christmas Day 1914 between British and German soldiers. My uncle George and his wife, my mam's twin sister, raised my sister and I after we lost our mother in December 1940. George had indeed lied about his age and joined the Northumberland Fusiliers at 17 and was actually wounded before he was 18 years old. He survived the war after being wounded 5 times and carried pieces of shrapnel in his arm for the rest of his life. George never spoke about the trench warfare or the war in general but when I was 11 years old I came down with a serious case of Asthma, so bad I was in bed for 3 months, even spent a week in the Infirmary. It was during this time, uncle George would sit by the side of my bed most evenings and talk to me, telling me stories about his life, family, and his time in the army. He was the finest man I ever knew, my 2 children have the middle name of Carson in respect for him. His memory of the football scrimmage was a little different, there was no ball, just a bunch of rags tied together with string and belts. He said the Germans started it, they raised a white flag, which was honoured, and a few of them got out of their trench and started kicking this rag-ball around. Initially, my uncle said they thought the white flag was so they could attend to their dead and wounded but when it was obvious that wasn't their intent, it wasn't long before some of his mates joined in the kick about. He didn't mention anything about trees, gifts, cigars, etc, only the kick about. I recall him telling me there was no bloody way he was getting out of his trench except if the whistle blew for them to go over the top and even then he was a bit reluctant. He told me he had gone over the top 4 times and each time never got further than the top before being knocked back by enemy fire.
  11. Overall it was a game of missed chances and sadly the Mackems didn't miss one of theirs. Pardew missed the biggest chance of a win by starting Gouffran, again. He missed big time by not putting Cabella on much earlier, and putting Cisse on was a snowball's chance in hell. Should Pardew, by any stretch of the imagination, ever get us any silverware, I will never forgive him for losing 4 in a row to the Mackems. With his managerial & coaching skills it wouldn't surprise me if he ran it up to 5........or 6. To say I'm sick as a chip isn't even close to how I feel.
  12. It is my firm belief that age has got nowt to do with it, it's all about skill, ability & confidence at any age.
  13. If my memory is standing firm to some degree after 82 years of wear & tear, I think that many moons ago Sunderland's youngest first team starter at one point was a 16+ year old goalkeeper called Forster. If I'm right then perhaps 17 year old Woody might be a better choice than Jak-shit.
  14. Spurs goal should be charged as an own goal to Jak-shit. Willo weep for me. Riviere should go back to the Riviera.
  15. He seems to be a gifted box player and unless we see him giving good crosses he may be wasted playing out wide.
  16. Thank-you all for your Birthday Wishes. I hope you'll be around for my next one............. hope I am!!
  17. Suffice to say that overall we played poorly, and Pardew got it all wrong from the beginning. When I saw Willo & Gouffran in the starting line-up over Haidara & Cabella I thought what the fuck is he doing. Cisse was useless, like a goldfish out of the bowl. Sammy was like a newly born foal with legs going every which way. Gouffran was mostly anonymous and can't believe Pardew left him on for 90 minutes. Willo was Willo, second tier player. Tiote was a bit of a liability. Riviere.......... is he trying to prove he's a dud?
  18. Clue me in as to how Sissoko is suspended for the Arsenal match. I understand that 5 yellows mean a one game suspension but I'm a little nonplussed about Sissoko's. Going into the West Ham match Sissoko had 4 yellows, then he got number 5. Then he got a second yellow number 6, which resulted in a Red. Does the red cancel the 2 yellows knocking his total yellows back to 4, then the yellow he got against Chelsea brought him back to a total of 5. Doesn't seem quite right to me.
  19. Got to have my critique on Pardew noted. Found no fault with the starting line-up but ......he should have taken off Ameobe for Cisse, not Cabella.
  20. Where the fuck did they get 6 minutes from? I'm in a state of shock and elation, convinced we would lose. Absolute ecstasy.
  21. My concerns are many: Should Janmaat be fit will he be able to suppress that tricky little bugger Hazard? Will anyone be able to subdue him? Will our defense be able to control the box on corner kicks when Terry & Cahill threaten? Biggest concern is will Pardew get his starting line-up wrong and play a useless fucking idiotic strategy? Will he play a lone striker against Chelsea's formidable back four?
  22. We're on a slippery slope and sliding down the table and I can see us sliding further down when looking at the upcoming fixtures. Can't see us getting any points against Chelsea. With Pardew's ineptness at putting the right players on the pitch, and our inability to capitalize on the many scoring chances we get, I'm living a frustrated life, nee good fer an owld gadgee whe's past his sell-by date.
  23. First half best forgot, can't recall us being so fucking useless. Pardew won't be sacked but he should be, his second half starting line-up is what he should have started in the beginning. Why he didn't start Cabella I couldn't even guess at. Why he started Willo instead of Saylor I don't fucking know. Why he put Riviere on when we needed a goal, I don't fucking know that either. I'll gladly take the point,, it's better than none, but 3 were there to be had in the second half. That's 5 points doon the netty in 2 games, holy shit. Perez was poor today.
