Yes we are, and if the Gunnners were to lose their final game(highly unlikely) and Spurs were to lose or draw their final game(possible against Fulham), and we were to beat Everton..............Wow!
-
Well with Chelski's loss to Liverpool they won't be getting the 4 points they need to get above us. Fair to say 5th place is assured and with some luck could go higher.
-
Off the beaten track a wee bit. I have to smile when the commentators and others, talk of full house and 52.000 screaming Geordies. I guess they overlook subtracting the visiting supporters in the head count.
-
Perhaps you should have said "us finishing 6th" as that might well happen. If we lose to Everton and Chelsea get 4 points from their last 2 games we will finish 6th.
-
No real surprise, played well but not well enough, hopes dashed once again. Front line were a bit sloppy, opportunities were there but we didn't capitalize on them, didn't hold the ball well enough. We lost to a better team, no disgrace in that, and they had to work hard to get the 3 points they needed. Midfield and defence put in a really good shift despite surrendering 2 goals.

With Arse n'als draw with Norwich today, puts us in a great position to move into 3rd place if we beat Man City, depending on Spurs not winning. C'mon Newcassel .

Is that based on your assumption that all black men are endowed with a huge penis, and asian vaginas do not have the necessary expansion capabilities to prevent being torn apart? -

Excuse me, but what kind of reaction is that? -
So who actually thinks we will finish 4th?

After a 4 - 0 loss to Wigan, which I thought would be the easiest of our last four games, I'm not at all confident we'll get any points from the remaining three. I hope I'm wrong inn thinking that. I think we may have blown our chance of Champions League today but I'll settle for a place in Europe and an unbelievable season which wasn't expected. -
Wigan Athletic vs Newcastle United Saturday 28th April 3pm

The word is 'out'. Out classed. Out played. Out shone. Out fought. Out scored. Not even a consolation goal, but some consolation the scoreline wasn't higher than four. Another typical Newcastle shot in the foot display against a lower club. 3 points doon the netty. Surprised Pardew took BenArfa off as he was just beginning to put his stamp on the game. Very disappointing result to say the least. -

Met quite a few, some well known, some not so well known and only count the ones I've actually held a conversation with. Spoke with Bobby Charlton and Warren Bradley in Los Angeles after an England v USA friendly match. Was introduced to Peter Beardsly outside the Los Angeles Colleseum after an England v Mexico friendly match. Lad who introduced me had played with Pedro in his schoolboy days. Met Stanley Mathews a couple of times at tournaments organized in his name. Even played with him when he guested on my team for about 20 minutes. He was in his 70's, mind you I was into my 50's. Met Jackie Charlton twice, once at St. James' Park when he was a spectator and he signed my program. Second time was in 2010 at the North Shields fish quay, we were both there to eat fish n' chips. Met and had a conversation with Bobby Robson at St. James' Park. It was on a Wednesday afternoon and there was a game that night, sadly he was fired the following Monday. Became friendly with Mick Mahoney when he was playing for the California Surf and the Los Angeles Lasers. Even spent a weekend camping in the mountains with him and his wife and daughter and some other friends. Sat next to Bob McNab at a wedding reception, Bob did the double with Arsenal and played for England. There are others who I consider friends like Peter Wall Liverpool & Crystal Palace, Paul Cahill Portsmouth, Gerry Ingram Blackpool, Preston, Bradford, Jimmy Hinch York, Tranmere Plymouth, Sheffield. Never met Vinnie Jones but had a long phone conversation when he was in Los Angeles and I was trying to get him to turn out for an over-35 English team I was organizing to play a like Scottish team. I thought he might of showed up as Rod Stewart was turning out for the Scots, this was in 2000-2001. -
Stick it up yer arse. Stick it in yer ear. Stick it in yer gob. Stick it wherever. Opportunities should always be hysterically taken.

Brilliant 3 points and other results favoured us, Chelsea dropping 2, Arsenal dropping 2, and Spurs dropping 3.Would be something if we finished in 3rd place, highly unlikely but within the realms of possibility.

To make a comment like that you obviously haven't watched too many spectator sports on planet earth cos there's a lot more duller than basketball. Ever watch Netball?

Bloody hell, I am stunned, awed, flabberghasted, and over whelmed by your eloquence and towering intellect...................wots the question again?
-
Do you know what condone means? Sure he does, one of those French thingy's ye put on yer willy.....................isn't it?

Oh sweet Jesus. Not that argument again. What argument you hysterical little blasphemer? It doesn't matter where they got the money from, it's still been wasted! Surely a matter of opinion. If you give me £50 and I spend it on alcopops instead of investing it in some high quality liquor, it's a waste of my money is it not? I wouldn't give you 50 cents, and as a teetotaler I would consider it a waste of your money either way be it alcopops or liquor sunshine. That a large portion of the £115m Dalglish has spent was recouped from Torres does not matter really - imagine what we could have done with £50m. Same as we did with 35 mil.
-
They have already won silverware this season, they are in Europe, and they are in the final of the FA Cup which they could possibly win and get more silverware. It could be argued if they have wasted a load of money, especially when a lot of the money they spent was what they got in the sale of Torres.

Interesting to note that Enrique seems to have lost favour at Liverpool, came off the bench against Blackburn and didn't even get to do that against Everton.

Newcastle United V Bolton Wanderers Easter Monday Kick Off 3pm
Noelie replied to Christmas Tree 's topic in Newcastle Forum
Not a worthy performence overall but great to get another 3 points. Flat first half and a bit dodgy and drab in the second, Krul was the busier keeper, Bolton may have edged it had it not been for him. Brilliant goal from BenArfa, and we needed it. -

Question. .....When NUFC says "UK TV None", does that mean no one gets to see the game unless they attend, or can it be viewed by means of PC streaming in the UK??. It's obviously being televised as I will be watching it on Fox Soccer TV at 7-am California time. -
Swansea v Newcastle United Good Friday Kick Off 4.30pm
Noelie replied to Christmas Tree 's topic in Newcastle Forum
Unbelievable!! Swansea played a nice passing game, held on to the ball an incredible amount of time, looked a better team than we did, but it's goals that count and they didn't get any to nullify our two. Great result. -
I was disappointed that he didn't get more ball service in the second half as he had been giving Enrique a nightmare in the first half.
