oh dear. Seriously, who cares about a league, any league, that is so crap a team can win 9 titles in a row anyway ?
-
he does. I can still remember the 18 year old who beat Watford single handed in the FA Youth cup Final then only a short time later led NUFC to a win over Liverpool in the first division and was the best player on the pitch by a mile. So sad to see him looking every inch like someone in their 70's or 80's.

does anybody have anything interesting to add to my earlier comments about the sort of team Hodgson is fielding, and the likeliehood of England winning this tournament here ?
-
all well and good, if 1. They weren't all volunteers, and 2. The reason those who oppose this were opposing it for the reason you state rather than a naive ideology. Which is what it is, and that is the truth. The same ideology which leads them to believe we can actually educate these cavemen and/or lecture them on what naughty boys they are, and that it is OK for them to heckle our troops when they come home [those that do come home] because they have "rights as British citizens". Personally, I don't see why anybody can have any objection to scumbags like Gaddafi, Saddam, Adams, McGuinness and numerous others to be tracked down, tortured and shot, as soon as possible to save thousands or more innocent civilians rather than take any notice of the likes of the UN and other namby pamby softies that only allow them to carry on. Do you think thousands on innocent people killed in Ulster is a price worth paying to get the British Army out ?

good interview with John that I'd never seen before
-
more brilliance.
-
the song that started it all. The first number 1. Makes me shiver all over just like it did when it first came out.

and this
-
not one of the most played Beatles songs, but this too is very good
-
oh well. That was Ok while it lasted. I voted "no" by the way.
-
don't know what John and Paul are singing here mind, but this song is brilliant

possibly. That is a good paragraph, and their methods worked well for them to be fair.
-
not particularly a Clapton fan, his "reggae" era was complete bollocks, but this is brilliant http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GdO8qzXTRIo

have you read it too ?

precisely. And the point is, if this is EVER achieved, then its only going to be done by employing the same methods to achieve it and to stay there when you get there. They will have spent years going backwards, then forwards again, then be faced with exactly the same decisions to either make or not make. It's a funny old game.

I made 5 claims on my house insurance in 20 years, 4 or which were met, 1 of which was stretching a point because it was a damaged engagement ring that got caught on a bannister but they met the claim as it came under household possessions. Another was damp in the kitchen caused by a leaking central heating/boiler pipe. Another was loss of food etc caused by a broken down freezer. Can't remember the first one. The only one they refused was when a bit of flashing came off the roof in the wind, they said it was caused by natural wear and tear, so I can't complain. They are still twats though. Like most insurance, happy enough until its time to pay out. Look at your deeds and make the claim, they can only say no. However your premium may go up a bit.

Henderson for England or Hodgson on Drugs ?
LeazesMag replied to Ollie Burtons Grandad's topic in Newcastle Forum
is Lampard injured ? Has he tried to persuade Scholes to play again ? -
I was going to use IE today and see how it responded, but there was a new version of Flash player waiting for me to download and install when I turned the PC on. So far, it is responding better but I'm still not sure if it will remain this way. Thanks to everybody for the help.

not really, I'm talking about consolidating longer term. Lots of teams have short spells but then it is not sustained and in 99.9% of cases it is down to money and the size of the club which determines how long good spells last. In the grand scheme of things, Wigan are a small club with limited potential and revenues, Swansea are currently on a high and have done very well but it can't last without money either. Isn't this obvious ?
-
difficult to understand why people expect anybody to scale the heights at a small club like Wigan tbh. Money matters.
-
maybe Martinez would have been a better bet, after all it is Martinez who laid the foundations at Swansea.

Fraser Forster or The Scottish Football Thread.

brilliant summarisation. -
ah, I had forgotten that. I've been looking on google and there has been a few problems with Google Chrome and Flashplayer a few months ago. Don't know what to do about it though, what a load of bollocks, these big companies who fuck up their software like that with still no real fix.

to be fair, he married her himself rather than inflict her on someone else.
