When they realise their noisy neighbour is moving further and further away from them on the pitch they will see selling their name as the only way to stop a gap opening. When SAF departs / dies/ strokes out / cirrhosis (most likely outcome) they will be massively vulnerable. Think of the deal that City have recently done worth £400m - not that NUFC could attract such revenues.

I rememeber writing to Peter Beardsley. It was when he left NUFC to join LFC. I remeber I was mortal drunk and we'd all been on a session and the big talking point was Beardsleys departure and my opinion was that he was a turncoat. So, pissed a fart I drafted my strongest letter and duly posted it to Mr P Beardsley c/o LFC Anfield. In fact, I was so drunk that when he replied I couldn't work out why he would just randomly take the opportunity to write to me to explain the reasons he departed. The more I read through the letter that cold realisation that I must indeed have written to him! Very strange feeling. Move on to today and his reasoning was remarkably similar to the way Ashley is running the Club. Lack of ambition, best players being allowed to leave etc.

As long as it can reach the todga for a shufty I wouldn't worry about regaining full flexibility.

Alan Oliver was on the Clubs payroll and thus peddled the Club (Shepherd etc) propaganda time after time. For all the shit that went on at NUFC in his latter tenure he never once questioned the heirarchy at SJP.

Couple of years ago I had a kidney infection. Pissing a little bit of blood and a dull ache constantly in the kidney area. Doc did a sample test and stuck me on anti-biotics. Went to the chemist fr the prescrition and he asked if it was for a water infection - I said 'aye' He said get next door and get yourself 8 cans take the tablets and he guaranteed I'd back to normal in 24/36 hours. He told me the 'no alcohol when youre on anti-biotics' rule was pure myth in all but a very few cases and that having a good sup would carry the medication to where it needed to be directly. Got to admit he was spot on.

I like NESCAFE coffee and rarely drink tea. Don't mind an odd cuppa now and again but likely a 1 in 20 ratio. Typhoo is our lass' choice - gotta be strong though.

It is right and proper that they should now have to explain themselves before a jury of their peers. The law on double jeapardy has changed and if new evidence arises you CAN be tried twice for the same offense.

A year ago I'd have said Barton should take a drop, but as one of our top performers this season he's probably on what he should be. Fair do's to him taking a drop. Having said that, I reckon if he COULD get the same money elsewhere he'd go for it. Enrique can probably get more elsewhere. One good season in what 4? He is still a risk anyway imo and was apparently on a very good wage from the start. I'd rather sign Ireland on the back of yesterdays preformance. He was woeful. (As where a few others tbf)

After his injury v Tottenham he played virtually no part in the remainder of that season. From Xmas to May he put in how many minutes on the pitch? If the tail wasn't wagging the dog then then the dog should really have said 'you are not fit enough to play for NUFC you are not fit enough to go to the WC' If he didn't like it he should have been told to fuck off. Blame NUFC for his subsequent injury and long term lay-off. I agree he is a little shitstain of a man though.

What aout furthering his career at NUFC. We get larger attendances than all but 2 teams that will finish above us. Liverpool don't have CL football this season or next or for the foreseeable so what makes them a massive step forward? Had it been a genuine top 4 Club here or across Europe I'd buy the 'further his career' excuse. He'll go there for one reason only. Which brings it back to Ashleys policy of uy cheap sell expensive.

You got a good recipe Snake?? All the ones I've previously been given by friends have been a let down. Scroll back on this thread and I've put a decent recipe for a curry that you can make as hot or mild as you choose.

Monk fish was chucked back in the sea as useless until Fanny Craddock used it to make fake scampi. One of the most expensive fish to buy now. Try it diced breadcrumbed and deep fried ala Craddock style. Or wrap in parma ham (streaky bacon will do actually) and fry on outside to brown then oven for 10 mins - crispy outside and soft fish inside. Make sure you get rid of the sinew on the monkfish or it just curls up as it cooks. SOLE/PLAICE is as nice as a simple grill with a knob of butter squeeze of lemon juice.

Anyone has any spare tickets I need a couple - but 1 will do. (Beggars can't be choosers!)
