Superb and very detailed guide here to the various methods of cooking vegetables and in detail as to what works best for each veg.

(doesnt cover microwaving tho :glare: ) but still very good.

Christmas Dinner.

For those of you who are making it, what are you having?

Different meats? What veg? etc etc

Starter? Dessert?

Also just been reading a tip that says you should cook your turkey upside down as this lets all the juices sink to the breast meat keeping it really moist.

We're having chicken, because himself is fussy. There's just the two of us though so not doing a full one. We were going to get beef as well but we haven't got a great deal of oven space and quite frankly can't be arsed to make too much of an effort when there's no one else there to impress.

Pigs in blankets, roasties, possibly mash, sprouts, carrots, parsnips, probably another veg too. And Yorkshire puddings, which I don't feel are necessary on a Christmas dinner but as he insists I'm happy to go along with that.

Haven't decided on a starter or dessert yet but we'll do one or the other.

Several bottles of wine required for the cooking and eating process, naturally.

Aye I think we'll be having pretty much the usual. I don't even like turkey that much tbh + I think i'll mainly be getting pissed too.

Out for lunch on Boxing Day, 16oz T bone steaks I'm going to have to put some serious running in in january

Tonight I think im going to go with

Garlic mash

Twice cooked turnip ;)

Roasted Broccoli and sprouts

Roasted ginger infused carrots

Not sure on the meat? Maybe a lamb chop.

Be sure to rush back and tell us when you decide. I'm on tenterhooks.
