Can't think we'd be spending money on another Central Midfielder when the shortages at Centre back and up front are this obvious? Also, wouldn't he cost us close to £10m? Why don't we ever make sure that us the case? Wouldn't surprise me if this goes on until the last day of the window. Or if we decide to keep our powder dry until the summer, such is the desire if the board to always get value for money. A prudent approach to player recruitment is short sighted if the players still on the books aren't good enough to keep us up. Relegation is a much bigger financial hit than haggling over the extra couple of million euros. You'd think they'd have learned this after last time we went down.
