he's playing midfield there isn't he?

Well yeah, but Salako was the regular no. 11 for them. Thats the point, looks like he's come in to cover Wrights injury.

Wiki says..

Yeah I can see him playing more of a

Krul

Debuchy Mbiwa Colo Santon

Tiote Cabaye

Sissoko

HBA-------------------- Remy

Cisse

Which is frankly a waste of the 3 central players' positives.

Tiote is more than capable of prowling the area in front of a back four, breaking up attacks and laying off the ball to MS, YC, or the fullbacks.

Cabaye should be slightly advanced to spray the balls about and dictate the tempo.

Sissoko should use his pace, power and engine to maraud up and down the pitch all day long.

We think alike.

As for adapted...ya know, from one league to another? New county etc.

Think a lot of those skysports characters have to work like....Merson's skint, Kenny Samson did the odd bit for them and is now apparently a homeless pisshead...

Didn't know about Samsung like .

Shocking when you remember they were established Internationals .

With the current squad now, this is what I hoped we'd play. Surprised no one else suggested wanton Ina "Jonas" role. Tiote, Campbell, Jonas, Anita, Elliot would give a few options to change shape. I took Tiote as I thought he was shite last year.

If sissoko truly is this box to box machine, bringing the ball forward with that lot ahead of you should overload even strong opponents. Defensively we'd have strength behind the ball too I reckon.

What frustrates me, is there is so much pace in that team, but our tactics don't seem to use it.

Feel free to rip apart :)

Oh I wasn't born in 1992, NUFC was though, happy 21st NUFC

Do you have any original patter, because this kind of shit might fly on RTG where the average IQ is lower than the member's toe count, but it's just not cutting it here.

Please, before you reply, remember that you, a sunderland fan, have signed up to a Newcastle board, with the sole intention of trying to get a rise out of us... and you can't even accomplish that with any marker of success.

At least come up with a cleverly doctored picture, or maybe a witty song? An entertaining flight of whimsy?

No thanks. He's 29 and will be on silly wages.

Would much, much rather we paid a 3-4 million more to get Tom Ince tbh.

I'm sure Ashley would be aware that he'll have no sell-on value by the end of his contract too.

Just seems a bit unimaginative too if we're after a striker.

I can see us walking away from the Gomis deal now Remi is "over the line". He's a free agent next year and available for pre contract in january...

I agree.

Keep Campbell around this season and concentrate in getting Ince.

If another striker becomes available then I hope we'd be active.
