PaddockLad 22475
Sad. Was he a one club man? Fairs Cup hero. To many an NUFC all time great 😢
Christmas Tree 6691
I have a crap memory but I’m pretty sure he was my first Newcastle hero. I used to love playing in goal at Juniors in the early 70’s and he was the man. Good innings though
Monkeys Fist 50719
That’s sad, he was one of the first players I was aware of as a nipper, along with Supermac and Bob Moncur. One thing I’ve always wondered, is why he was known as Iam McFaul at first, as a player, then Willie later?

Craig 12372
All presumably derivatives of William. Anyway remember trying in my youth to correct someone referring to him as ‘’Iam’ and right being given short shrift.

Howmanheyman 43923
Just put SSN on there and on their banner I'm being told ex-Portsmouth owner Milan Mandaric has died. I wonder if they mentioned Willie's passing yesterday? I can only imagine (MLF®) the sky coverage if a trophy winning long term player, coach and manager of Liverpool (football club) or Manchester 'United' United had died?
