Back when I used to occasionally subscribe to sky when I cancelled and they asked why, probably expecting a financial reason, I'd always mention their sports bias and I wasn't paying to watch wall to wall Manchester United or Liverpool coverage and expected to see a balance of neutral presenters and ex-pros which sky won't supply. So with complete disregard for PC niceties I moved in for a closer look….it was then I correctly identified that it was the badge of Santos FC, Pele’s old club. She was super impressed, and i told her my club was partly Brazilian black and white too. She then talked excitedly about Bruno for 10 mins or so. Turns out her mother was Brazilian from Santos and her old man was from Dublin. I got the distinct impression that she’d forgotten more about modern football than I’ll ever know, sort of like The Fish but a lot more charming with nice eyes I’d agree that would be a canny tie in for us in the South American market. Put some money into their scouting system.
