According to the French publication Foot Mercato PSG have reached a verbal agreement to take Dembele off Barca, and they're trying to get it all sorted before the window shuts.

I was hoping he was gonna go and be a giant fuckup at Man United.

West Ham Agree Fee For Newcastle Target But Deal Difficult Logistically (insidefutbol.com)

😐 Annoying if the 'ammers manage to get Nunez. Mind you if they've only agreed a fee we only have to match it, and then see if he'd rather play for pornographers' and the dourest Scotsman alive, or ahem, our owners, and Super Ed 😁

Is ryder looking to the side so it looks like he’s talking to an interviewer instead of filming himself on his phone btw? Or is he just avoiding eye contact so you can’t quite tell how bloodshot they still look after waking up cuddling the bog again?

Pretty sure they can stay without being registered.

Which will be hilarious really

Aye you can only register 25 but you can have as many players as you want on the books. That’s why I was never worried about all this deadwood, the new owners will just leave them unregistered and it’s up to them whether they sit about or go and find themselves a new club.

Van de Beek has signed for Everton on loan.

Bloke who didn't fancy the relegation fight early in the window signs for club 4 points better off than us with half the season to go.

It must be quite humbling when no one pushing for europe comes in for you from that position.

It’ll be even sweeter when we leapfrog them.

Browsing the /r/soccer thread on our announcement of the Bruno signing.

Looks like Lyon fans are gutted to be losing him, no one has a bad word about him, other fans are astonished/impressed that we've managed to sign someone like him.

It has been a long long time since we've done something like this.

Just been watching some bloke on Sky gushing about Bruno, “the 24 year old Brazilian international”.

I just started laughing

As much as I know who has bought us etc etc I just can’t transform into that fan yet.

I can only compare it to those times when you have a ten minute joke about what you would do if you win the lottery.

Or manage to blag something.

Not sure if it’s either too much fun times all at once or nervous humour given our league position.

Its just not real is it

They’re one of those clubs where you can almost guarantee that at least 40% of their fans support another team.

Pop up mecano ground, half & half scarf wankers.

The comfort with which the fans settled into the top flight and being decent is annoying given their complete lack of history.

Pricks

I used to live there. its more like 90% of them.

But then they forget about their "other" team, until they go down of course. I hate their fan base (well the 90% of them).

You know, when I was there, I really didn't know how near was St James Park and when we walk just 4-5 minutes and we saw the Stadium was... OH.

When I went to the city and to see the game, I knew that I sympathized with Newcastle and I really felt like a fan for more than 15 years. But when I heard the music that plays when the players take the field (Going Home: Theme of the Local Hero) and thought of ten minutes earlier sitting talking to the legend, Uglymackems over a pint in the labour club I started to cry a little, I really knew that I was in love with the club. Without a doubt for me it is one of the best days of my life.

I'm filling up myself reading that. Nice one, Diego. :good:

Newcastle close to signing Matt Targett on loan (90min.com)

Targett on his way to have a medical tomorrow according to 90 minutes. Solid is about as much as I can rise to in terms of compliments. I did hear that he was the players player of the year at Villa last season, so he must at the very least put a graft in every game.

If true he’s the one player I’m disappointed about signing. Personally don’t think he improves on the left backs we have, I think he’s a poor player. Of course if it was to happen I hope I’m wrong.
