Angry Gary Oldman GIF

All of this man's wonderful talent and diverse acting prowess, yet he is forever to be best known for shouting "EVERYONE!" like a fucking psychopath.  Unless he one-ups this in the days ahead. Maybe he will assassinate Trump or shit in the King's mouth on telly.  Who fucking knows? Not me, that's for sure.

He did it that way as a joke on Luc Besson. Forewarned the sound guy then just let rip.

I keep hearing that we're exploring shifting Pope to Leeds. Anything in that? Not sure I'd be up for it tbh.

if Trafford is coming in then I guess he’d be number 1. Pope is top-class until he has the ball at his feet

If we're signing Trafford (how long have we heard it's happening), then Pope is gone. No way Trafford is moving as a number 2 or potentially no 1. No way Pope at this stage of his career is sitting on the bench. Wouldn't be surprised if both Pope and Dubs left (assuming Trafford signs), which leaves a bit of a hole.

Pope is class but for me there's been a clear regression since his shoulder injury. He doesn't get down quick at all and he simply does not catch anymore, not engaging in any form of battle to cling. He's always been abysmal with his feet.

He's a great talker, great shot stopper and generally OK at box management. He also plays that keeper sweeper role well, helpful with two old centre backs with very limited pace (not inc botman here).

We need an upgrade and if Traffford is that person, we need him in this summer. His price won't reduce in the next 12 months (2 years left with option to extend) and he's in the England set up now - so price will inflate further if anything. Don't think it'll happen this summer and reckon Howe "accepts" Pope for another year.

I'd be delighted with Lucas Chevalier personally, who has very similar attributes to Pope but is considerably better with ball at feet. Wouldn't have to change the way we play but have that ability to pass back and relieve pressure much better. Wouldn't see those hooked 30 yard clearances to the benches anymore!

Quansah looks like he’s off to Jormany.

So there’s one premier league only transfer for people to pretend to be annoyed about missing out on.

Am pretty certain we'll have a pre 30th June budget for any potential PSR bargain (when £80 Mill iirc losses drop out of our PSR equation) and a post 1st July budget, we won't be buying major targets before July.

Easy fix, keep pope in goal, have Trafdord hiding behind the boards. Distract the ref when there is a goal kick and then get Trafford to take it.

It's fine. Im sure Mitchell and Eales have a long list of names to move onto after we were priced out of Delap, Mbuemo, Guehi, Cunha, Pedro, Elanga and Trafford....

40M for Quansah being mentioned in the media. That would explain why they paid so much for Wirtz. Shades of the Anderson/Vlad deal here.

People lining up to pay fortunes for bang average Liverpool players is beyond a joke now

According to the rumour mill the mackems are willing to pay £30m for Joe Gomez. This is the exact kind of signing I want them to make. That's the Sunderland model they keep rabbiting on about. The model of signing Jack Rodwell, calling your manager a prick on Netflix and ending up in league one.

Shouldn't they be signing Luke Shaw? Liverpool is a bit above their pay grade?
