If Isak negotiates a new deal his agent gets paid :cuppa:

Not if he sacks the cunt first.

Think it's difficult for him to stay without upsetting team morale. We've signed a fella to start up top for sure, so if Isak is starting ahead of him in a few weeks time after the way he's acted, won't sit well.

Doubt that will happen. If he stays I'd be surprised if he's allowed to train with the first team let alone playing any games. Howe has shown already what happens when he doesn't trust a player, they get frozen out. His only way back is to work his bollocks off and beg forgiveness by Howe and the rest of the team. That's going to take quite a while and even if Howe allows him back into the first team setup he'll be way down the pecking order. Best case scenario for him is that he gets a few sub appearances before christmas.

I struggle to really understand how they can agree personal terms when they haven't agreed a fee.

It’s been reported all summer like that. I think once the club gives permission to talk then personal terms can potentially come before a fee agreement.

I dunno, it's possible we've asked them to downplay it for now. A courtesy they'd surely give us if we're taking a lowered fee.

I want him to stay, somehow in the whole thing I wish there would be a way back for him, but if this is happening it's better to go through after our game at least otherwise it's all the team are gonna hear.

I don’t want him to ever wear our beloved shirt again, he doesn’t deserve it. But he doesn’t deserve to get what he wants either.

You believe we gave him permission knowing what they could offer him?

I was generalising rather than commenting specifically on the Isak saga. We’ve offered no permission to talk to that cunt.

The "personal terms agreed" thing is just a conversation between player's agent and club isn't it? It's not that they've signed anything, it's just saying that the agent has given an indication that the player would be happy with the salary on offer.

Isn't that wrong thought?

'Oh he's on 100k a week'

'What?  We can offer 3x that'

'Cool ill tell him'

That's not right.

I’d assume that when a club grants permission to talk, two conversation channels begin - one about the fee (which won’t involve the player/agent)  and the other about the terms of the contract (which will).

It's just the way it goes. It's irrelevant until the club receives and accepts an offer.

It's basically just another lever that these dickheads can pull to try and make the move sound inevitable. You can basically ignore it.

I cant see them not putting another offer in but stranger things have happened.

If he doesn't get his move Liverpool and his agent have sold him up the river.

Aye, if he hadn’t been such an enthusiastic cunt about it I’d have some sympathy, but, well…

Stop stealing HMHM’s photoshop efforts. He puts an incredible amount of time and effort into them.

Suggestion this morning that he’s holed up in an Ormskirk hotel waiting for the call to say a bid has been accepted.

Any truth in that and I sincerely hope we stick to our guns and he has to come ‘home’ on Tuesday with his tail between his legs.
