In the first half hour it looked like we might have a game on our hands, but we are just relentless and the Beige wilted faster than CT’s cock on Newquay beach.

It was then a matter of numbers- how many can we put past these cunts?

I hope Dick can improve the Midland’s third largest club, as it’ll make it all the sweeter when we paste them again.

Really good game overall, Isak is a ridiculous player. Tonali was brilliant and just completely ran the game, probably Gordon’s best game for us he was a nightmare for Cash who just started kicking him and the ref ignored it. Great to see Barnes come on and show why we got him, he’s so clinical and direct. Really exciting start to the season.

Glad we properly shut up the YouTube fuck heads that have disrespected us by acting like Villa and Emery are miles better than us. We’re a far far better team. I thought Emery was fucking clueless today too, his tinkering around was weird - moving to 4 CMs then subbing one off for a 3rd CB.

A lot of people (read mainstream pundits) are still in denial about just how good Howe is, and how good some of our players now. Even the ones coming off the bench. They'll have written last season, Chelsea and Liverpool were weak etc etc, never paying much attention to the work that has gone on here.

I've been listening to some shite this week about the likes of Schar, Longstaff and Joelinton. So called experts claiming these players played above their level last season and that's why we won't be able to get back to last season's levels. All of them had Villa finishing above us.

Well stick that in your shitpipes.

Gonna take these dickheads a little while to work out that we're just fucking great now all across the park, and those lads are a big part of it.

Glendenning was on MBM for the Guardian for this one. Based on his current level of spelling ability I would say he's drinking away the grief.

Blocked me on twitter for asking him if he was drunk again.

Absolutely perfect start. Think that slather mouthed scouse cunt Carragher had us outside the top 6 this year with Spurs above us. I think we may well improve on our position from last year. We ooze quality, finally have a bit of depth, have an immense work ethic, and one of the best coaches in the business. Barnes we knew would fit in but what a start for Tonali. I'm feeling massively optimistic.

First thing that struck me when I saw our line-up was fuck me our bench looks tasty now, including Jacob Murphy. Weak in certain areas but I felt even more confident than my 2-0 prediction earlier. First half ropey but just about deserved to be winning, second half we caned them and it could have been 8. Endurance is the name of the game.

St Austell Cornwall 8.30, 2 toilet breaks and home 2 minutes before kick off.

Great start to the game just a shame we couldn’t keep it up.

Hopefully, we kill them off early 2nd half.

Happy new season.

( and 4th in the fantasy football league. at those below me )

Pipe down, No.7.

from the brink of utter despair I've got a ticket.

it's probably hard to tell who's happiest about this, me or the landlord of the percy!

anyway..... I'm plumping for a 3-1 home win and a stinking hangover by the m18 southbound, doncaster area. :)

who the fuck's this twat above displaying a horrendous lack of self confidence?

utterly, utterly destroyed the cunts with ease, not even an average performance from any of players with tonali a stand out.

one of those games where it was a privilege to be there.

aspalls cider is 2 for £7.50 in the grosvenor casino at the minute so I'm reasonably happy with the second part of me prediction!

have a splendid saturday night gentlemen!

I think Villa were up for it today. They still wanted a goal at the end. Fact of the matter was that we were just too good for them. They did not play bad, they were alright but we were better. Nice to see a strong bench and still have Willock to come back. I wouldn't turn down more signings but I think we have enough for an alright season.

I forgot we had Man City next week.

Then Liverpool, then Brighton. 9pts

Good time for this run of fixtures. I would love not if we can if I ally find a way to smash Liverpool. Am hoping to get tickets to witness it

One of the best things about Tonali's performance and him seemingly settling straight away, is that it means we can bench Bruno some games in order to give him a rest, or a kick up the arse if that's what he needs. Bruno hasn't suddenly turned into an average player, and I trust Howe to get him back to his best soon enough. A win today when we have Citeh away next week was crucial. If we can get two results from these opening games the tone will well and truly be set for the season. But it looks like we've just carried on the form we've had for the last 18 months. Our press and general work rate is still elite. It's funny when you start a new season, especially from where we've come from under Bruce and Ashley, close to relegation etc, you, or at least I, don't take anything for granted in terms of the team being able to keep previous seasons performance levels up, but Howe seems to have them pretty finely tuned already. Oh, and one last thing, I fucking love how quietly arrogant Isak is about how good he and the team is.
