I honestly expected big GD boosts for both of them so in the end not too bad an outcome.

I still have doubts about tomorrow and think it will all be decided next week but we'll see.

Anyone genuinely expecting Spurs and Man United to do us favours was out of their head. They’re 16th and 17th for a reason and they’ve basically written off the season since about February

Man Utd nearly pulled a point out of the bag tbf. Still not convinced Maguire was offside

We're not at the bottom of the table any more lads, it's all about keeping winning these days. You can't rely on other teams dropping points, you have to earn it

The good news is the team are now mentality monsters, they'll be going in with no fear tomorrow against lego-heads arse dropping southern fannies

We're still 3rd with a game in hand on the teams in 4th and 5th. They both won last night and they still sit below us. We need to get past this idea that we're probably going to be the ones to blow it, because the evidence really isn't there for it.

This entirely. I can’t see Chelsea winning at Forest. A draw maybe. Villa will likely beat Man Utd so we need 3 points from the final two games.

i think 69 is the minimum
if chelsea and forest draw then 67 would do it on goal difference.

as it stands...

Arsenal: 68 (+33) - Newcastle (H), Southampton (A)
Newcastle: 66 (+23) - Arsenal (A), Everton (H)
Man City: 65 (+24) - Bournemouth (H), Fulham (A)
Chelsea: 66 (+20) - Nottingham Forest (A)
Aston Villa: 66 (+9) - Man Utd (A)
Nottingham Forest: 62 (+12) - West Ham (A), Chelsea (H)

prediction

Newcastle 72 - win both thus arsenal losing a 2 horse race.
Arsenal 71 - beat southampton
City 69 - win one, draw one
Chelsea 69 - win last game.
Villa 69 - win last game
Forest 65 - lose to Chelsea

chores done now to focus on today.

Watching the build up and I don't like the one Palace fan I know, but I think I'd quite like to see them win. Just to break up the sheer monotony of Man City doing it, and to get them back for letting Man United win it last year.

Their manager seems a canny bloke - didn't know that story about how his playing career ended. Eze seems a nice enough lad too.

Aye me too.

I missed the build up. What’s Glasners story?

Palace went down the self righteous road, when I say self righteous I mean, 'look at us please!' route with those banners so they can fuvk right off, I'd take old Maine Road man city fans, cunts that they could be, as well as decent lads, any day over Palace. Nothing against palace other than that and good luck to the decent ones and err, not really arsed tbh  should've been us if we hadn't of head fucked the Brighton game.

He had a severe concussion as a player, travelled to the next game with the squad but failed to turn up to a team meeting. One of the squad was sent to find him and he was collapsed on the deck. Brain haemorrhage, had to have surgery and then a long road back - had to relearn how to walk and speak, etc.

From a neutrals point of view Man City are dull as fuck. I’ve never enjoyed watching any of Peps teams.

This one is slightly better to watch as they can be vulnerable on the counter but its always slow, safe boring build ups.

Yeah not bothered really. Family ties suggest I should support City but don’t  mind Palace, churlish to be too hard on them seeing as they’ve literally never won fuck all. Remember really liking the Venables and Coppell teams at either end of the 80s, being told by media cunts that Wrighty and Brighty would kill us in the cup one year but they hadn’t reckoned with Gazza and the Leazes stanchion ☺️

Was at that one. Platoon of traveling palace fans very sporadically chanting 'eagles' or more 'yellow'. Apprentice NUFC chanter wasn't impressed so no idea where the modern ultra has come from as looking back the small band of away fans were like a team day out of clerical admin assistants.
