Am far from happy with this season but we can't do what we did to Arsenal x 3 and Liverpool in the final of the Carabao last season when we're in the champions league every other week. We played the Carabao final v a Liverpool who'd just played PSG on the Wednesday. The other side of that coin is the virtual anomimity of Elanga and Ramsey who have for the outlay have  had zero effect on the season. They have to start affecting games positively. If Howe can't make them count then his coat is on a shoogly peg as some cunts of your aquaintance might say

Just as an observation but today was a magnificent advert for English football culture. In lots of ways that's  why I still go . You can still get what you saw today. Myself and @thebrokendoll went to Birmingham City last season and it was delightfully hostile . That the six fingered sister fuckers performed it is in a way irrelevant. I can say this because I'm 56 and not a Geordie and also 7/8 of the way to being fucking mortal 😅🤪

I am seeing more people mention that regarding Howe on social media, from sensible people.

For me, a large part of this is PSR and the lack of our ability to buy for several transfer windows.  or buy the quality which adds depth to the squad.  Yes we have better depth now, but the likes of Murphy, Schar etc are older and we need to be adding quality on top of them to progress.

 

I saw about 5 minutes of the first half and Elanga looked decent.  But wow, have Forest had our pants down with him.  He's been pony.  But then again, Murphy hasn't been any better.  But then who can you say he's been solid this season?

I largely agree with this. But Villa, Arsenal and City appear able to balance 3 competitions at a time.

 

Ramsay and Elanga cost us the best part of £100m and haven't improved our starting XI. Elanga was coming off the back of a good season at least, but we'd been linked with Ramsay for a number of windows and I can't see why? Pretty much a like for like replacement for Willock.
