I don't agree. Immigration is a great example. Most people who want immigration to go down understand only one side of that issue. They do not understand for instance that social care will be decimated, that pensions will be threatened, that certain sectors will struggle with impacts felt throughout the economy. Most of them don't even understand that immigration is a net positive on the economy. People sort of drift through life thinking that governments make these choices out of some Marxist agenda, whereas in reality the choice to permit immigration is a response to an economic need. I am yet to see an anti immigration voter properly contend with both sides of that issue, and thats what I mean when I say people don't understand these issues as fully as they'd need to in order to make an informed decision. I debate with the fuckers day in, day out. I can see it.

I really couldn't give a fuck if I never see another derby again. I've loved some of them, I've seen more victories than defeats but these days I'd be just as worried they put one of ours out for a season than anything else they do with the actual football and if they hit lucky in staying up I'd hate to see them given the chance to improve. Also you'd see them being really not bothered at all about the Saudi club during a derby, the cunts had a complete meltdown about us being given a whole end and a shit football ground bar being given over to us, they'd be no bother at all and would treat it as though they were playing Charlton Athletic or Bristol Rovers I'm sure.

The FA job will be much more low key for him. No one had heard of him when he last did the same role and it'll be the same again. With England the entire responsibility for the senior teams' performances belong to the managers so he can sit quietly being a rat in the background.

I don’t think there’s an obvious perfect solution. Unless you can get the AI offside technology to eventually work in real time (or almost) but it’s difficult to see that with the nuances of phases of play / players not interfering. It does seem daft when someone receives the ball and they’re clearly about two yards off though to then let play continue.

He doesn’t get it because he never had to trudge through the 80s it would be a bit of a shock if they beat Sheffield Utd. But it’s better for Sunderland to play them in a one off cup final type of match than over two legs so they’ve got a decent chance imo. You’d think they’d really struggle to be remotely competitive with the way things are now if they came up though. It’s got to the point where it’s unusual if one of the promoted 3 stays up and you’d think they’d be the least well equipped.

It would be good for the region tbf which, setting rivalries aside, does matter. That place is properly run down and having a PL club would help. I'd sooner have them knocking about lower mid table than the likes of Fulham.
