Aye, the voting system needs an overhaul. Two years in a row now the Israelis have engaged in widescale online promotion to mobilise the public vote for their entry (funded by the government), and there are enough people around Europe who think the Gaza genocide is a good thing that it keeps working a treat. It makes sense really - if you don't want to vote for Israel, you've got 25 other songs to choose from so the vote gets fragmented, whereas if you want to "support" Israel then that's the one that gets your vote, and you don't even have to watch the show because you've been fed YouTube and Facebook ads with the voting details for weeks beforehand. Add in the fact that you can vote up to 20 times using each payment method you have at your disposal, and guess who ends up getting most of the public douze points and will keep doing so for the foreseeable future? Obviously in a way it's no different to Ukraine always getting massive public votes these days (other than, you know, one of those examples is clearly the wronged party whereas the other case is something of a grey area at best). But plenty of governments and their associated broadcasters have no interest in condemning Israel at a level that actually matters, never mind at the level of a silly song competition, so here we are. Uk getting zero from the public made total sense on the other hand - the song takes about ten listens before you get the hang of what it's doing, which is nine more than anyone gets on the night. Still, it's been a few years since we were represented by people who can actually sing, so that's a step forward.

Just seen this. @Rayvin, I'm quoting Spongey here as he is spot on. Loads of good advice from others and I'd struggle to add to it. What I would say though is when I was at my lowest ebb you absolutely were there for me and were a big factor in getting through it, both publicly and in your private messages. You've got remarkable empathy and compassion, but with that comes a tendency for self criticism and introspection which you 100% don't deserve. Keep going, you mention you are renting from a mate and there is a possible business opportunity with another one coming up relatively soon, so you have friends. I am sure you are much more liked and loved than you will ever credit yourself. Things will come good for you, I am sure of it. £62m is actually a decent price for Man U when you look at their recent transfer history so for that reason alone expect Wolves to slap on an extra £20m to the asking price

Think Cunha is one of those players who will be heavily influenced by the atmosphere around him. If he came here I think he would flourish under Eddie with the proper management. If he goes to Salford Red the number of cunts there will encourage more petulant behaviour and Anthony like performances aka £62m down the drain again

The reality is each of the 5 teams HAVE to win on Sunday. Man City - have 2 games Bournemouth (H) & Fulham (A). Neither is straight forward. I'd much rather having points on the board than games in hand Chelsea - have to go to Forest and win. Not straight forward. Villa - have to go to Man Utd and win. Not straight forward. Forest - have to beat Chelsea and hope Villa don't win. Not straight forward. Newcastle - have to beat Everton at home. Surely the easier ask of any of the 5 teams.
