  1. Past hour
  2. Adidas had some ropey shirts for us as well as a few classics but the younger fans on twitter don't seem to recall them? I don't think that's particularly good especially considering the shit about being one of their 'super clubs' and it being the first shirt they've done for us in years, I was at least thinking they'd do a bespoke one for the first shirt in their new era of supplying us. Said it for years, the most consistent supplier we've ever had for classic NUFC shirts was umbro, (home AND away).
  3. Fish and klopp walk into a bar, barman says, 'why the long face and prominent teeth?' Fish says, 'Hey! I'm the guy who does the comedy around here!'
  4. Today
  5. 7.5 for me. Could do better, but could have been much worse. Just a bit deflating in those games against Brighton and manu, but we really lost a much better position against the likes of Luton, Forest, and Everton.
  6. Yesterday
  7. 7.5/10 for me. If we'd have kept 6th it would've been 8/10 but stumbling at that last hurdle when everything seemed to be coming together has made the difference from a remarkable season given the circumstances down to a very good season given the circumstances for me. I would've had no problems declaring that 6th represented progress but to say 7th represents progress is a little bit tougher, particularly given the circumstances of a few of the results we threw away that perhaps revealed something of the limitations and weaker mentality of a few of the players when it comes to the crunch. The difference between 6th and 7th this season, for me, represents the gaps in the squad in some key areas that have persisted longer than maybe they could have. Not to bring the tone down too much. It was a magnificent season in so many ways. And I think we did progress in a lot of ways that will hopefully hold us in good stead for the future. In saying all that, I think the biggest "moment" for this season is yet to come in the sense that we absolutely must hold onto the likes of Bruno and Isak. If this season (and particularly the difference between 6th and 7th) results in (or I suppose contributes to) the departure of either player (given the difficulty in replacing them even in terms of replacing them with multiple players) then you'd have to reconsider whether or not the season taken in that context represented a backwards step. For what it's worth, I do get the feeling that Isak will absolutely not be sold even for ridiculous money. He is irreplaceable. And I don't think Bruno will go either. He seems happy at the club. I am hopeful that this coming transfer window will be one we look back on as transformative in the sense alluded to above in getting us those final few pieces to turn us from a team liable to bottling big games to finally winning something. All in all, I'd consider this season a launching pad for progress rather than progress itself.
  8. Some of the last few Castore designs have been fucking tremendous in my opinion. Classic looking kits, with black and white stripes on front and back. As it should be. This Adidas thing and it’s various other touted versions on insta etc look rank.
  9. Our new shirt apparently. Looks like It took about 10 minutes to design
  10. We know how it feels Adam, we really do.
  11. Dies in some productions of Macbeth.
  12. The good news is the Doctors have said there's fuck all wrong with AP. The bad news is he's self diagnosed a concussion. (He probably missed breakfast and flaked out) https://x.com/AdamP1242/status/1792652409325359315
  13. 8/10 for me. For us to finish 7th this year whilst having the worst injury list/idiot suspension I can recall ever is a feat in of itself. Factor in some superb matches in the champions league and for me it's been an overwhelming success. We've come a long way very quickly and for me it's only going to get better. #inhowewetrust
  14. We’re gonna be shit hot next season and there’s fuckall anyone can do about it.
  15. I don’t know why really but it bugs me I’m asked to rate something out of ten and the person asking introduces decimal points Parky used to going with films all the time but he’d go down .25s. I realise this is not something worth getting annoyed about anyway an 8/10* *IF Man City win on Saturday. I’d have given anything for a season like this a few years back
  16. I'll go for 8/10. I think I predicted a 7th place finish at the start of the season but at the same time I think my prediction was ultimately wrong. I thought we'd be largely full strength and 7th with fatigue and CL playing a part in our dropping off. To be as ravaged as we have been and to be within a whisker of 6th, if not 5th were we running fairly normal levels of injury, is actually a really positive achievement for the club. I think if our big players stay it will underline that this is the view in the dressing room too.
  17. I think it’s very easy now to forget that we are still very much a club in transition. Given the state we were in at the takeover, to have made the CL and then finish 7th in these first two seasons is nothing short of miraculous. The injuries early on were a great example to the board of the weakness of our squad, but we’ve still managed to finish above Ten Pence’s lads. Onwards, boys, onwards. 5-7. Would.
