Met officer suspended as 'song lyrics' claims checked
Billy Castell replied to peasepud's topic in General Chat
Aye, that's what a meant. Sings with a proper cockney accent on that. No idea why it popped into my head btw. When I googled it it's on youtube from TOTP2 and it was originally on TOTP in about '79/'80, which is what I remembered it from, i.e. seeing him perform it on there at the time. I liked it at the time but it's bloody awful like. Have a gander Maybe there was some sort of exchange involving Rod Stewart. -
At least you didn't do to your kids what my exes father did to his grandaughter. His hobby is to restore 19th Century guns, and take them to a shooting range, and therefore has access to gun powder. When my exes daughter was 2, they had bought some fireworks tolet off in the garden. Of course, Dave, the my exes dad thought the fireworks needed 'customising' and added weapons grade gunpowder. You can imagine how loud they were, and my exes' daughters' reaction. I think there was a crater where the fireworks went off.

Francis Jeffers finally signs for Newcastle

We were pretty pissed off when he signed on a Bosman under Hughes. -
Yes Gemmill Good man Ricky. Not sure a creepy clown should be associated with ill children though. Just ask Stephen King or Michael Jackson's lawyers.

And are there many famous guitarists who just pick up a variety of guitars, and don't have a particular 'favourite'?

Don't you know.................??? I apologise.

Speaking of Nigerian ex-players, did Babayaro spend his time 'doing a Rooney' with prossies up there? I've heard a story that he was constantly at it whilst at Chelsea. Anyway, I'd turn down Martis for Rovers. Far too inconsistent and often missed sitters.

Redknapp threatens media blackout

How will the irritating, corrupt penal wart be able to tap up players without announcing his intended signings to the press? -
Have you claimed your moat cleanig on expenses?

I agree. Liverpool will always be in Europe. It would be pointless moving the city brick by brick to South America.
-
The strat copies don't have these humbucker pick-ups, so I'd have to put one in. And that would be fun, I should imagine. I'm not ttoo sure whether to get a strat copy, or a Les Paul copy, but it will probably depend on what's cheap. Thanksnfor the advice.

Being in Liverpool, the kids would have broken onto Kelvin's house, nicked the eggs and then threw them at his window. Or stole his car.

I have. I live in a shit part of town, and I'm feeling anti-social. Fuck this American crap, can't be giving doing with giving food to chavs and foreigners.

Normally I'd say 'prove it' but...............no thanks.

Looks like you need an electrician to set that up. And a load of cash. I guess this all appeals to me as a lot of it is theoretical (A+B+C=This kind of sound is produced). Anyhow thanks for the patience.

A bit of metal, sort of rock stuff like The Who etc. I think I'll get a cheap Srat style set and see what it all sounds like. That's the problem-I like too many types of music, but something that sounds like Black Sabbath, The Who, Metallica etc. would be good. On a related note, when you add all the guitar effects etc. would each type of guitar sound different ie. would a Les Paul be different to a Strat even if you don't tinker with the pedals, knobs and buttons? Of course, I'd have to be able to play the thing too, so I have no delusions of all sorts of Matt Bellamy madness happening any time soon.

Some Burnley fan tries to be clever. And fails. Here's the thread he posted it on: Suits you sir

I heard about that, but not seen it until now. They must have got lost en route to the Jeremy Kyle studio and thought they could wing it without lie detecor results getting involved. Whatmakes these people go up there and look like such dicks? It seems someone called Katie is this years' tabloid hate figure, as she is often denounced as a fame-obsessed twathole. I did see one column with a picture of her, and the 70's puppet Lampchop in a 'separated at birth' setup.

I was wondering if you guys had any advice on cheap effects pedals and suchlike? I'm getting loads of Amazon vouchers for Christmas, so with what is left over from buying a guitar kit, I may be able to buy one. I wouldn't have a clue what each one does, so descriptions would be appreciated.

I have concerns about the Kentaro agency link. Will Rovers become just a shell for Kentaro to showcase their clients, regardless of the managers' wishes? Will the money from the fees go to Rovers or Kentaro? The best case would be that Kentaro would be an extension of our scouting set-up, offer clients for the managers to consider with no pressure from Venky's to buy/loan. The worst case would be that Venky's will listen to Kentaro, ignore the wishes of the manager and buy and sell exclusively Kentaro players over the managers' head. A bit like when Wise, Llambias and co. were messing KK about. It seems to be inevitable, so we have moved from death by a thousand cuts from the Trust to a very mysterious and potentially chaotic and damaging set-up. Or it could be a great move for a club our size. It's the uncertainty that causes so much concern. ------------------------------------------ As for Ince, the Notts County fans are deluded. They believe that he will bring discipline to the squad, and he's a coupfor the club. Sorry, but when he was at Rovers, he rarely bothered to turn up to sort out training, and encouraged an-old fashioned drinking culture that lead to our reserve keeper jumping aborad a coach half cut and driving it into a wall during pre-season. P.S. Andy Cole is supposed to be his assistant manager soon. Let's hope he can be bothered to get his coaching badges.
