Essentially, isn't it against copyright to record a TV show or movie from TV broadcast ??

Why has the favourite film charater thread been locked
Jimbo replied to Jusoda Kid's topic in General Chat
I locked it as it had racial undertones...... Nah honest, not a clue why it was locked, we found the Wallpapers thread was locked the other day too and none of the admin team had been near it, I think Toontastic has a ghost ! -
He must be bloody desperate.

I'm surprised there has been no news regarding next seasons shirt.

No, he's not. I might as well be, disrespectful to say the least on these four seven issues: 1. I was banned for vague and ambiguous unjustified reasons 2. Banned for nothing specific 3. Banned because ONE mod, not all moderators were in agreement, something which has been aluded to me in pm 4. It's eight days later, yet still there mixed messages, "Stevie's attitude" mentioned in one post (to who?), "racist remarks" in another, yet no explanation given or specific examples given (as there are none). 5. Posts today censored pre-Glasnost style 6. Fucking disgrace 7. This won't make it past the censorship If it does, ask yourselves these questions regular posters, would you post if you were subjected to such contempt, after contributing a fair share to this board over 3 years good or bad? The moderators have made a mistake, and as Craig said I'm no loss in the grand scheme of things, but taking in to account all of the above, then subjecting me to this oh dear, I'm not posting under these conditions and as Snakehips mentioned would you?? Lord Justice Taylor couldn't get to the bottom of this one, and if he did I'm sure one of his recommendations would be a complete restructuring of the moderating system. This is the email that was sent to your registered toontastic address: These are the posts that you made that were highlighted by members of the admin/moderation team that were considered unacceptable and in some occasions commented about by other members as being racist in content: http://www.toontastic.net/board/index.php?...st&p=523285 http://www.toontastic.net/board/index.php?...st&p=560248 http://www.toontastic.net/board/index.php?...st&p=600859 http://www.toontastic.net/board/index.php?...st&p=560291 Then you had this as you Signature: This very simple and poilte request was made in September last year: http://www.toontastic.net/board/index.php?showtopic=21091 All in all it is of no surprise that received a ban, and it was the unanimous agreement of the admin team, you have served your ban and you are very welcome to continue to post and contribute to this board, providing you can do so without racially motivated hostile comments, and I hope you can follow this very simple request.

Id pretty much agree. The tracking of "celebs" is a bit crap tbh, though the musings of Stephen Fry can be quite funny (I d/l his podcasts as well). What the difference between saying on an internet forum "good stuff on tv tonight", "just watched this film", "listening to this music" and posting the same on Twitter? Dialogue? I'm just guessing by clicking on your link mind, do you get something else if you sign up? Dialogue is the same on a forum really? You reply directly to people by adding @ infront of their name. Bit like if you quote on a forum. I can't agree with that. The "dialogue" on Twitter is restricted to 140 characters, the layout doesn't lend itself to discourse and the subject matter is generally lightweight by necessity; you can't begin an holistic discussion of society when your diatribe is interrupted by someone twittering the colour of their bowel movement. Some might consider that an appealing feature.

Any chance of a discount for members? It's Comet actually

Where Facebook is good for noseying on friends, Twitter is great for noseying on celebs, I've got Fry, Brand, Herring, Gorman and Linehan on my watch list, it's great for keeping upto date with their musings.

I've been on it for a while now and until now I've not been that bothered by it, but I'm now finding it quite addictive.

Hard not too really It's not necessarily the car, it's the way he makes himself look like a cock with the hoody and baseball cap. Baldies tend to over compensate. It's the massive amount of testosterone we have flowing thru us Is the correct answer. fair play to the lad, it's a cracking car.

An IT giant’s management style scores in German football
Jimbo replied to ChezGiven's topic in Newcastle Forum
Like you lot had. Exactly. If you look at the success stories this season, Villa and Everton, the clubs are run by the manager not the chairman. Chelsea and Livepool's problems can be directly traced to board level interference, as can ours and yours. The point of Chez Given's article was that business and football can mix, we are an example of failure when a football club is run like a business. Clearly there is a difference. -
No wonder he grew his hair with lugs like that !

Set up a nice goal for Malaga at the weekend.

On what basis? The only thing I can think of is that you have a bigger stadium and even that you won't have for much longer. How long have you had your 50K stadium now? We still have a higher average attendance you. http://nufc.com/2008-09html/attendance-all-time.html We are bigger in just about every criteria. The passionate fans thing is just a sky fabrication that you lot are clinging on to.

Whats the truth then Jimbo? The truth is Ali said what he said to sell and promote a fight against an opponent who's lack of charisma and wit, made Ali to appear like a bully in comparison mentally inferior opponent. That could be said for many of Ali's opponents tbh. Perfectly true, but I think Frazier took dullness to a whole new level, but the likes of Liston and Foreman for example had a air of invincibility about them more than compensated, as I said before, Ali always mocked his opponents, that was his style and added to his popularity, but this documentary put a hugely negative spin on it, Ali's arrogance and verbal attacks were what made him the star he was. Oh i agree mate, frazier was no great personality. just that compared to Ali, not many were. re. the documentary, it's a rare thing indeed not to have a doc. weighted in favour of one view or another. This one's brief was clearly to elicit sympathy for Frazier, his treatment at the time of the fights, and his current plight. did a good job , when looked at like that. Usually Ali gets painted as some sainted deity, he clearly isn't and from that end it was refreshing to see a documentary showing the other side, I just felt it went out hell-bent to vilify Ali.
