  1. Thought you had an xbox?
  2. Same, 30k staggers me. I think I was in some of the first years of loans, felt hard done by at the time, feel lucky now. Man that's ridiculous money.
  3. Great stuff, massively looking forward to those. My favourite book as a kid, plus I went round a lot of New Zealand a few years ago, so watching that and picking out places I'd been was kinda cool.
  4. My Grandma (Scottish) used to say similar every now and then before the odd family meal, but something like 'here's to us, who's like us, damn few, and they're all deed'.
  5. Got tickets to see hundred reasons play all of ideas above our station in London in November. Looking forward to that. Nothing else, but hoping to see rival sons again when the new album comes out. Oh and Brock, nothing like a nice combine!
  6. Not really sure who Adam Scott is, but Rob Lowe! Good stuff, look forward to watching more of that then.
  7. Also, who recommended burn notice? I'm sure it was someone here. Cos it's brilliant. Well done whoever it was.
  8. Watched the first sites of parks and recreation now, just starting the second. Quite like it, but nothing ground breaking. Not enough of Ron yet, do they ramp up his involvement and that's what make it better?
  9. Watched Spiderman last night. Quite enjoyed it. Plus Emma Stone is hot.
  10. How long have you been at the new place wykiki?
  11. @ gem - At the Australian, last year I think. Good effort, but fed is just top class.
  12. Never heard of Linwood Barclay, what sort of stuff does he do?
  13. Reef - Getaway just came on my phone. Great album from my youth. And I will be going onto Hundred Reasons - Ideas Above Our Station next, as I've just found out they are going to be playing the whole thing live in November! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J7DrxE1SLns
  14. Congrats to both. Andrew, what are you going to be doing?
  15. Got him some wine he likes and a selection of different foody bits. We don't tend to go into presents in a big way for mother's or father's day really. But we are about to head over to my brother's for his first ever father's day, as his first kid (and my first niece) was born on Wednesday!

Tbf, I found it quite entertaining. Better than just coming on and saying Catts for me like.
  17. Awesome. Played those first 2 to death. I'd forgotten about the videos for each skater, they were pretty damn good. Back in the day of baggy jeans/combats and chunky vans/emericas!

This thread is wonderful. I applaud you on your wummery.
  19. New vids from E3, actually looks like it could be a pretty good game:
  20. Speaking of Slash, been listening to the new album a lot just now, and its brilliant. Above track is one of my favourites, but these are gooduns too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lpkwL-krYTo
  21. Nice, yeah, not in bad nick. Although, I really do only know their hits. I will have to remember to look at those other ones you mentioned earlier. I agree with you on the general state of rock though, although as Chez says there's not much in the way of innovation, there are still loads of good bands, old or reasonably new, still going. And I know it might get a bit samey for some, but I fucking love it, even if its the same sorta chords and progressions etc all wrapped up in different ways. Tried to phrase this next bit a couple of times but don't think I'm going to get it out properly at all: Its rock, it doesn't need to be clever and new and boundary breaking all the time. It can be awesome as good old fashioned balls to the wall stuff, but it can be awesome as Zeppelin were or Floyd or G'N'R when they took it in different directions. Someone will come along and do something new, or at least a new interpretation of what has gone before which is about as good an innovation as I can see happening, but until then, guys like Slash, Black Stone Cherry, Alter Bridge and The Answer are all doing great stuff. (See, I knew it, that's just an absolute load of nonsense, so here is some Slash: [media] )
  22. Dude, aren't you moving to London? You might find a few more like minded souls there. Also, come on, Joe! Maybe not innovative in blues as such, but flying the flag nonetheless. No 2 in the UK album charts in first week for Driving Towards The Daylight is pretty good considering the shit the British public often buy.
