Crazy. The bit where he leaps up towards the camera. What possesses people?! -
But is it time to resurrect a certain sun based thread? And well done to all with jobs/promotions, good work.

Can someone pm me the xbox instructions for the US content please?

Still not completed the first one yet! This may take me a while to get round to...

Jealous Andrew, think he's taken to playing some less played stuff on his latest tour, would love to see him do The River. Fantastic song. AH, Clee, where are you seeing the Boss?

Now got that going round and round in my head though.

Got my tickets to Black Stone Cherry supported by Rival Sons in London in March. Pretty much the only thing I've got booked this year, massively looking forward to it. Saw BSC a couple of years ago at Hammersmith and they were superb live, a lot of fun and energy and clearly enjoying it themselves. Then saw Rival Sons in November last year and they were just epic. Cannot recommend them enough. So hoping I've not built this up too much in my head!

Just finished Ordinary Thunderstorms by William Boyd. Took me a while cos the central character seemed like such an idiot for the first half of the book, but it picks up later on. But only one to read if you have nothing else, really.

Such a great riff. Such a great song. And this. Still got a great voice.

We aren't all posh. We may sound it, but doesn't mean we are. Trust me, I went to school with enough pikeys. They always seem to be on the High Street, never North Street. Must be the cobbles, people can't run so fast. Always seem to get collared up by Tunsgate, they have little groups and if you aren't paying attention one will splinter off and latch onto you.

Hartley! After I got a car I used to drive through there on my way to Reading. Fucking miles, but some nice places on the way. Definitely better than dicking around with the m3 or 4.

Is that you are moving to Farnborough, or the job is there? My flat mate and brother both work in Farnborough, both round the airfield sites. Only ever go there myself for the airshows.

Not sure if a bit inland for you, but Bryce Canyon in Utah (http://en.wikipedia....n_National_Park http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=bryce+canyon&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hl=en&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&ei=X3AoT6mFJ-jB0QWopJD3BA&biw=1920&bih=1021&sei=YXAoT-jwJ-qf0QXa-MkT) is meant to be absolutely stunning. Parents did a tour of Western USA and said it pissed on Grand Canyon (well, not quite in those words!). Photos they have of it are ridiculous, so in real life I bet its amazing. Properly jealous, would love to do a trip like that. (And San Diego is meant to be a really nice place, but not really sure what there is to do/see there, other than I've never heard anyone have a bad thing to say about it).

Congrats Brock. Does this mean an end to the commute to Guildford? I used to go the other way on First Worst Western, absolute fucking nightmare of a journey back then.

Good luck Stevie. I'd echo talking to an accountant. Setting up as a ltd will have costs each year (you have to file accounts at Companies House, Corp Tax returns, annual returns etc), but you can take a small tax free salary that you don't pay NIC on either (but still qualify for social security), and then take dividends out of the business at a lower tax rate which are completely free of NIC. The costs of the accounts etc shouldn't be massive from the sounds of it, there are likely to be few transactions or areas that will require a decent accountant to take too long to think about. However (and might be getting a bit ahead of the game here), if you go for it, keep good records of all expenses and income from day 1, 'cos if you give your accountant a bundle of receipts they will charge you a hell of a lot more than if you email them a nice spreadsheet which they don't have to do much to to turn into a set of accounts, as it sounds like TR does. Also, as JawD said, cash is so so important, particularly when starting out. You sound like you have a fair bit of seed behind you, and I'm guessing most of your expenses would be you, travelling and so on, so shouldn't be too bad, but so many startups fail because they don't keep control over their cash. Anyway, accountancy geekery over. Got a lot of respect for people who have the balls to go and do it on their own, no way do I feel like I'd be able to do it! Good luck. Edit: Sorry, should have added, if you are a ltd you will get taxed twice by paying Corporation Tax on the company's profit, and then again personally on any salary or dividends you take, whereas a sole trader will just pay personal tax and NIC on the whole lot. There are more issues inside of that though, which an accountant would be able to go through with you. But its generally better to be a ltd if you are going to be making a reasonable amount of profit. (I think I might have gone ott on this, but hope it helps a bit)
