  1. A loss by one with us getting an away goal wouldn't be terrible tbh, they're a good team on a strange pitch in freezimg ns. hiddink is a great manager .
  2. this third best in the world thing, thats what the occasional sensationalist pundit says, the general consensus on balance is that he's rated one the best in the premier league, which he is imo. hes shown enough all round game for me to suggest he' not a flash in the pan, espite this eing a purple patch coring wise his g play has been very good and improving for a couple of years now. couldnt name five better players his ilk atm. written on my kindle with my cumbersome lazy thumbs
  3. 5-7 more points from 9 games should be enough to stay up, think we'll survive fairly comfortably. Hopefully we can really focus on fielding the strongest team available in the Europa now.
  4. Anyone been watching Derek? Any good? Saw the pilot which i though was quite good and just completely forgot the series was on, may have a binge on 4od.
  5. I can accept them doing mens and womens versions of the same fragrance but that is simply outrageous
  6. Reading are awful away and Cabaye will make a difference. We'll win today.

  8. Just been given a new 360 after about 4-5 years without a console so while i used to be fairly into games, I've pretty much missed the CoD popularity explosion. Probably not worth it's own thread, but are the campaigns worth playing? Any installments that are particularly good/bad solo? I know they have a reputation as very short and they're mainly there for the online anyway but tbh I don't mind games that are short and sweet (e.g. Metal Gear) as long as the quality is there. Thinking about renting a couple of the earlier ones and blasting through the stories but cba if they're basically glorified training modes.
  9. Someone should invent an app that you simply input a name and it tells you how to pronounce it correctly. Hate having to ring somewhere and take a punt at an unusual name for the first time, it's a fast route to making them uncomfortable and you sounding like a thick(er) Jim Davidsonite.
  10. Depends if you use the forum mainly for genuine discussion/lighthearted chat with people you consider friends or for a bit of Newcastle news with entertainment. No one can deny the first week at least of having Leazes back would be... eventful. But tbf if i ran the place and the guy was giving me dogs abuse he'd be getting nowhere near here. No one should be surprised that he's still banging on about the place though as he can still read this, and every time he tweets it's on here followed by more ridicule. Cue another tt tweet (or 60) from him, followed by it being hoyed up on here and more ridicule. Followed by etc...Think it may be time to just block him from viewing and eventually he'll move on.
  11. He did imo. Decent passing, kept the ball moving, broke up play, caused problems with his closing down, couple of decent corners, I like the look of him. edit* think he links up well with the more technically gifted of our side particularly.
  12. Anita played well, our short passing in the middle was actually quite decent at times, just a shame as soon as we entered the final third it was lacking. Berbatov's pretty special, enjoy watching him play. Apart from tonight, obviously.
  13. What was your inspiration for your username?
  14. Doing your job, any job, with staying professional as your drive simply isn't going to yield as good results as if you're really enjoying and enthusiastic about your work.
  15. I think people do underestimate the importance of how the players are feeling. Raylor's goal against Sunderland last year got everyone excited to play for the club and believing in our abilities, I don't think we would have had quite such an amazing early start if it had hit the bar. Was the lighting of last seasons fuse. You can have vague pops at the tactics (do you think it's as simple as saying 'right lads, stop the hoofball now, we'll play it on the ground for a few games'?) but they really haven't changed much since this time last year, bar that run of 4-3-3. Where the players are emotionally has been the biggest difference imo and SCSI has nailed the biggest cause of that.
  16. The worst thing to ever happen to Tiote was him deciding/being told that he has the talent to be more than just a break up play -> simple pass maestro. Which isn't necessarily me having a go at him, he's fantastic at that, but that's what he should stick to.
