He's getting married. He was on the front of the Shields Gazette a while back. He won't mind my saying because he dropped in here and posted a link whilst getting in a few digs

That is beautiful but, imo even better (if you're going to Bowness/Ambleside/Windermere from our neck of the woods) is to still come off at Penrith onto the A66 but almost immediately leave that and take the A592. That way you go past Dalemain, Ullswater and through Kirkstone pass. Obviously you might reconsider that if the conditions are icy but it's a fantastic drive. It's an A road too so it's a good road all the way. Even better if you come off the A69 just before Haydon Bridge and come via Alston over the Pennines past the Hartside Cafe.

I think that generally though he comes with a bit of "baggage" and in terms of playing in the top flight, I'm not sure he's good enough for the manager to ignore all that. Hope I'm wrong and the fitness levels and workrate that he seems to have improved since the summer are maintained though. Either way he's comfortably one of the best (if not the best) central midfielder in this division so you have a bit of leeway even with someone like Benitez. He's not going to be one of the top 5 midfielders in the Premier League.

Think that's where Duncan Bannatyne has one.

What a crawler, giving him two presents.

In the one I just watched there's this bit where Gibson sees a car coming towards the place above Belfast where they know the killer has been because he used a phone there. She sees the car stop, turn its lights off then reverse away. She doesn't say a word but notes down the reg number then later gets the police to go looking for it. Even though there were about 20 police behind her, not to mention a police car when she first saw it. I mean, what the fuck is that all about? It's literally just stretching things out for the sake of it. Should've been a one-off 6-part series.

Yeah, I think that's probably a lot to do with it. I just mentioned it in passing really, because people often wonder how people get away with it for so long but it seems that a lot of these characters like to hide in plain site. You'd never think this 'normal' family man had a predilection for young boys. Your commonsense makes you expect it to be some loner or whatever. It's fucking scary the idea of it being someone you have no reason to suspect.

I liked watching it for spotting the locations too.

Been watching The Fall. Thought the first series was good even if it was uncomfortably misogynistic at times. Sounds a bit Guardian that. The second series is jumping the shark all over the shop though. Will probably finish watching it now but I doubt I'll bother with the 3rd one.
