Hell yes. Find someone willing to go a bit mad and drop everything, change the names on the ticket which will cost you about £25 and just go. Why should you miss out when she's jumped straight into something with someone else and wont be feeling half as bad as you are? Harsh but probably true.

It will get better. It doesn't feel like it at the moment but I promise you that you won't always feel this bad. Chin up pet
