Owen and Viduka looked great in the unbeaten spell towards the end of KK's comeback season when Owen was playing off a front two of Viduka and someone else (was it Martins? Can't remember). They get a big payday when they sign their first professional contract nowadays unfortunately

Definitely nowadays but back in the early 90s clubs weren't like that, they were the underground of youth culture. Two songs for me encapsulated the cultural change. Happy Mondays released Wrote for luck, which crossed-over fans of indie music into the burgeoning dance scene. About 3 years later, Nirvana released the piss taking Smells Like Teen Spirit. About that time indie music took a new direction (Oasis etc in the UK) For the next 5 years, house and techno was truly the underground alternative music which was why you saw so many ex punks (Leftfield etc) dominating the scene. For a while indie bands had bigger promotional campaigns in mix-mag than the NME. Then dance went pop and clubs went shit. You use to speak the truth, but now you're liar You use to speak the truth, but now you're clever Good times

I subscribe to the Jason Manford theory that in your twenties you go looking for the clubs with the most totty in them, but once you get to your thirties you're after one wear you know you'll be able to get a seat. I very occasionally go to an indie club, but other than that I prefer late bars / gigs / restaurants.

Wasn't he supposed to have said something at an academy derby? I'm thinking it was 'I hope your cancer comes back' but that might have been what someone at wist am said when we beat them.

Went on a major piss-up with the lads last night, woke up this morning lying next to the ugliest bastard you can imagine. That's when I realised I'd made it home safely.

Paloma, if you live by the sword, you've got to be prepared to die by the sword pet. She was more ruthless than Bricktop tbh.

Paloma and Liz to fight it out. Why not just cover them in oil and let them get on with it?
-
Agreed. DM used to be such an under-rated position, but a good one runs the show. They win you things. Ooof.

Was it that lass off The Apprentice? Hughton certainly outmaneuvermented Bruce.

I suggest that for future reference we call this game 'The Destruction Derby' I'm going to be a wreck at work in the morning.

Frankie Boyle short on material

That, and the fact you'd kick Kate McCann's back doors in. Once you get past the cold, dead, murderous eyes she is quite tasty. -
my flatmate said she looked like a cabbage patch doll. She had a pet lip on when they were rowing on the step of the t-shirt shop. Liz is the front-runner now I would say, very successful task for her.

The mother knows more than she's letting on, I'm convinced of it. -
She had to go. It was clear her and 'The Brand' were the two that were going to be hauled back in. I have to give her credit for 'maneuverment' and 'professionality' though

As I suspected, it's taken an 'all animals are equal but some are more equal than others' turn by the sounds of things.
