This, and the aforementioned Ali standing over Liston pic are two of my favourite sporting images. -

Just hired an eastern european cleaner. Took her five hours to hoover the house. Turns out she was a Slovak. -
Racist! Joanna has done ok recently since she toned down the bolshiness a notch. Stella still doing very well, Liz has slipped back a bit.

Kindle: Amazon's Well-Established Wireless Reading Device
Dr Kenneth Noisewater replied to khay's topic in General Chat
I'm thinking of getting one of these (or similar) for a christmas gift. I'm presuming that the Kindle is the one to get? Or are one of the other e-readers better? The main question I need answering is how does it work with what titles are available on what platform? Have certain publishers signed up exclusively with Amazon or Sony or whoever else? -
TR! We had a thread earlier this week about posters who'd gone off radar in the last six months: your good self, Snakehips, Andrew and a couple of others seemed to have disappeared. I bet Snakey makes a rapid re-appearance now you're back on the scene Hope you're feeling better anyway pet.

Thunderdome: Spongebob vs Skidmark
Dr Kenneth Noisewater replied to spongebob toonpants's topic in General Chat
The only reason I'd like skidmark to stay is because he hasn’t suffered enough grief for the "I’m better qualified than keegan to put a successful side together” post he made just before fucking off on holiday. But thats a small price to pay. See ya! (I’m sure he’ll claim it was one of his hilarious little jokes, of course). -
Film/moving picture show you most recently watched

Jackass 3 Not the sort of high-concept movie the creators of digital 3D had in mind I wouldn't have thought. But fucking funny. -
How tall are you and what weight are you, Sugartits?
Dr Kenneth Noisewater replied to a topic in General Chat
What weight would I come under then? Light Heavyweight? Probably, aye. Or maybe a Cruiserweight. -

This. The fact is that thousands of soldiers have lost their lives over the decades to give us the choice to wear a poppy or not. Surely that deserves a bit of respect?

'Hawaiian Surfing Icon' Andy Irons dead at 32.
Dr Kenneth Noisewater replied to Dolly Potter MD's topic in General Chat
It's in the headline of the fucking article. -
Because he'd have been wasting his time. I know for a fact that, unless the club is sold, Given won't come back here in a million years. Aye, what about Arsenal though, like we were talking about (Citeh have no reason to sell him to a champions league place rival, of course)
-
Pretty much. I'm for the first time havng doubts about Wengers sharpness, sounds crazy I know, but he;s let certain things fester too long...Especailly the gk thing. Bob Wilson was on fivelive last weekend saying they'd made a serious bid for Pepe Reina in the summer. They need a top class keeper, a proper centrehalf and a true ball-winning midfielder.
-
Not necessarily. Hamilton is 24 points behind Nando, so its mathematically possible. And Red Bull have got two driver in with a chance (in the fastest cars). Having said that, its all over if Alonso finishes second next week.

The ramblings of a madman. I love Interlagos; The combination of fast & slow corners, the undulations and that almost never-ending climb around the last turn followed by an s-bend at the end of the pit lane. If you were given a blank sheet of paper to design a track you couldn't do better than that. Shame it's buildings are crumbling to dust and its in a crime hotspot in one of the murder capitals of the world.
