Think we've got crossed wires here. I've enjoyed comic book films precisely because they strip away the stupid continuity shit (that ALWAYS involves bastard time travel) and have focused on the right ridiculousness which is big hard lads kicking seven shades of shit out of each other. This Marvel Universe thing is taking the piss out of my kind generosity towards them though.

I used to watch the Kerrang music video station () when I was about 11 and taking my first steps into music and I settled on some of that shit for a while. I owned three Linkin Park CDs and enjoyed them very much as well. You look back and wonder though. The lyrics sounded alright when you're that age but you go back and think that the bloke writing them was pushing 30 and you've got to laugh. I used to love the big countdowns they'd have on weekends of "BEST ROCK SINGLES" or something. Smells Like Teen Spirit always won.

I enjoyed The Dark Knight but you can't deny how far up its own arse it is. That goes for Inception as well.

Dark Knight is good if you try and forget that this self-serious, gritty film is about a bloke in a bat outfit fighting an evil clown.

I'm going to give that Focus T25 a crack when I'm done with the next couple of weeks (Sheffield away, wedding). Anyone tried it? From the look of the videos, I like the bloke giving me his inspirational crack (so to speak) but I'm concerned that I might collapse halfway through the first cardio session.

The only reason comic movies are popular is because they've stripped away the decades of total fucking NONSENSE that makes up the majority of comic backstories and distilled them down to the big punchy fighty bits which can be a good laugh. It's about time they fucked off though all the same.

I actually think Borini is a canny option but aye, it's mental money being reported as his price. I think, with the new tv deal, you'll see deals like this more often because paying 5 million or so over the odds won't mean much to clubs but this lot are apparently skint. From the look of it, they'll struggle again this season, especially having lost some of the more consistent players with time running out before the season starts to replace them.

A kid my mate works with is "mates" with one of the knackers on Geordie Shore and he was telling us about the nights out he has with them. Was hard to resist the temptation to tell him they all sounded like right arseholes (and that's coming from me etc). I'm glad I don't frequent any of the bars that this lot do and couldn't pick them out of a line-up of one. I think if you drink on the "Diamond Strip" as well, you deserve to run into narcissistic pricks like this anyway.

Gervais, as a man, is an atrocity. He perfectly encapsulates that atheist belief wherein to feel smarter than everyone else, you don't actually have to be smarter than everyone else.
