We never seem to loan players out to Championship clubs, Ferguson aside. It could be argued that the players we're loaning out aren't Championship standard but you think this kid that they're tugging themselves off over each week would be attracting some attention from a club just below us.

I check Facebook every so often but I will say, as someone who gigs at weekends, you get much better results advertising through Facebook than you do Twitter. The very nature of the latter means it's lost in around 20 seconds but Facebook will, unless you have a ludicrous 1000-strong friends list, keep it up there for a good few hours. I use it for that and looking at lasses holiday pictures at this time of year.

Shane Ferguson tearing apart international opposition
Ayatollah Hermione replied to Christmas Tree 's topic in Newcastle Forum
The Lua-Lua crack was canny mad though. At least Ferguson has been on the fringes of the first team. -
Think both sides of it are a bit extreme tbh. Canny goal against Fulham last season though.

I can't understand everyone leaping down his throat whenever he posts something in here like; it's about a player he rates (and we all rate certain players) and while I question the wisdom of him doing it about a game where he had no impression, it's perfectly fine letting people know about a Toon player scoring or having a good game when they're away on loan. I've seen everyone post some relentless shite on here, myself included and they don't receive half the dog's abuse CT does. Gemmill's point today about the worship of Ben Arfa was dead on when he described it, on some level, as fanboyism. CT just rates a player that other people don't. I know I'm leaving myself open for people countering that Ben Arfa has done it in a Newcastle shirt (not very often, mind you) but CT has often just advocated giving the kid a run of games. He realises there's other players ahead in the pecking order but he's still frustrated about it. Who hasn't seen a player sitting on the bench that they think could be better than one on the pitch? It was the running theme of any Anita discussion last year ffs. But that's getting away from the core point that if CT was praising HBA to high heaven, nobody would disagree. Well, actually, he might because he praises Marveaux (who actually looked decent last year) and everyone jumped down his throat for that as well. Though Marveaux definitely can't play through the middle. FWIW, I genuinely think CT rates Ferguson for the reasons he says; good delivery on a flank where we don't often have it and I agree it'd be useful if we're persisting with Pardew's "Get it wide and in" tactic down the left hand side. If you really can't reply to that without 500 "" smilies, then howay, man. The slagging of Deano, while it shouldn't be encouraged, by any means, but the bloke did promise to pay a bet to charity, went off in a sweary huff, then had the bollocks to come back and call everyone when he was rumbled Also, I definitely give CT shite about his music taste and dodgy purchases but that's justified tbh And I've not meant to put words in his mouth but I kna I have. And to go with Stevie's point; the football crack on here is always canny iffy in pre-season because it's a load of hypotheticals and guessing. At least, in November, when we're shite, it can get a bit more enjoyable. -
Well done, Theo. Pip Pip!

Kinnear - Appointed Director of Football

Only late with its jokes by about 2 months but I like the piss-taking spirit of it anyway -
"Paolo Di Canio, April 2013: "Newcastle are very strong: if we let them, they have the ability to smash us to pieces." Best evidence yet that he's a proper lunatic

And that's the root of why we'll do nowt with him in charge. 11/12 was a blip, in the sense that things were a perfect storm and achieving that once in a while isn't too hard in the grand scheme of things. Keeping it going requires competence from boardroom to pitch level and it's only the players on the pitch that fit that bill. Pardew is too negative and stubborn to get the best out of them, the coaching staff clearly needs supplementing if our set-pieces and general organisation are anything to go by, Kinnear couldn't get a nun into church and Ashley, well, we all know about him. Anyone expecting everything to click in place with this squad is in fantasy world as the people in charge of making it click are incompetent in the extreme.

BREAKING FUCKING BAD **Spoilers**
Ayatollah Hermione replied to Ayatollah Hermione's topic in General Chat
This is excellent. As bad as the internet can be when it comes to long running TV shows, some of the theories people formulate are great. Breaking Bad hasn't topped the most insane LOST theories yet but what can? -

Will do, mate. Forgot about the drivers not being updated to Windows 8 actually. As long as the thing charges, I'm sound but if you're putting music on it, there might be some way to get round it.

Film/moving picture show you most recently watched
Ayatollah Hermione replied to Jimbo's topic in General Chat
Watched that again the other night and was bored shitless and barely laughed which was a shame as I used to love it. Bit scared to rewatch Shaun of the Dead now. -
That's basically how Liverpool perceive themselves tbh. "well loved"

New arrivals to the Premier League 13/14.
Ayatollah Hermione replied to Park Life's topic in Newcastle Forum
Don't know enough about a lot of them to comment but I hope they, along with Mourinho and Pellegrini, coupled with Suarez potentially moving to Arsenal, give the top of the league a bit more excitement. Last year was a crap season, not only because we were shite but because most of the games you watched were dull affairs.
