It's a shame to see wasted potential but he's no-one to blame but himself. He's had plenty of second chances but will end up on the scrapheap and possibly in prison because of his poor choices and attitude. And no-one will care from a footballing pov, because he's achieved nothing.

It's true he's bought some of his brands from distressed sellers. However he makes his money by slashng production quality and costs and churning out cheap tat till consumers eventually realise the brand is fucked. I remember when brands like Dunlop. Slazenger, Donnay, Lonsdale were quality....not anymore. If that's "breathing new life into them" then I agree with you

He's made his fortune out of buying decent brands and taking them down market at a rate of knots. I suppose we're no different, he cheapens everything he owns (except his shares).

I realise the point is about how we've had a net cash inflow of 25 mill under our arsehole owner but some of the net spends there are jaw dropping. I mean the likes of Stoke, Villa, WHam etc - the amount of money to end up with average/poor teams is insane. And Ellis Short must be raging

I meant it more in the sense if pardew goes to Palace, I don't really care I'm sick of him. I've felt that way for a long time as he typifies for me the mediocrity of the club....all wind and piss and an also ran mentality. -

I don't think Pardew will ever be a top manager. I've accepted that we will never do anything worthwhile whilst he's in charge or we're owned by Ashley. The derby loss came as no surprise to me given it involved Poyet on one side and Mr Mediocre on the other. -
