I'm not arsed about Miggy but I think we could easily come to regret Kelly going. Especially in a world where Botman is suddenly not getting minutes - what's going on there? Hopefully he starts v Arsenal and plays a blinder.

Seems unlikely. If you assume we're buying a good player, his current club won't want to lose him, and they definitely won't want to lose him with a day of the window left to replace him. We'd probably have to pay over the odds in a month where you already tend to pay over the odds.

Hope is reporting that a deal is "very close" as well.

Aye I still think there's a player there. He's had an absolutely terrible run of injuries, coming back for 2 games where he gets a few minutes, and then another injury. His confidence is shot, he's completely off the pace, and his form is fucked as a result.... Which isn't good for your confidence. It's a shite spot he's in.

What I'm saying is, I don't think we're as far ahead of the "lesser" clubs as we'd like to think. We're getting by off the back of Howe's coaching. We need a couple of big windows to establish a gap.

Spurs and Man United are both being mismanaged horribly. With a decent coach Spurs would be in the top 5. Who knows with Man United, but there are already signs Amorim can get them playing.

You could say that for a lot of teams this season. I think the reality is that PSR not only stops a potential challenger from challenging, it allows lesser teams to catch them up, at least on a first 11 basis. The only thing keeping us ahead of them is our incredible run of successes on what little recruitment we've been able to do. The league has been dead competitive this season, with lots of the "lesser" teams not looking that much less anymore.

It's not half arsed or a lack of effort like, I'm not having that. Fulham are a decent side and they've caused plenty teams problems this season, and they just did that to us.

Ah aye, it's nobody's fault. It's just the reality of a PSR constrained club that had been criminally neglected for years. All of the teams we're competing with are ahead of us in terms of the squad. Some of them miles ahead.

With a proper squad we could do that. Or at least play 100% for 80% of the game and then just manage the game out. But we keep starting games with an unchanged first 11, cos there's fuck all that comes after it. Botman is the only change to the starting lineup we could have made today that you wouldn't have felt we'd weakened the first 11 significantly. Maybe Trippier too.

Tino has been shite mind. He looked much the better player than Hall a season ago, but there's something not right with him atm. Lapses of concentration and zero confidence when he's part of an attack.
