They even posted his "bullshit" on RTG but now a lot are accepting he was spot on about him now. O'Neill is too old fashioned. He found a formula that worked years ago but has never been able to adapt to changes in football, he keeps making the same mistakes and rarely spends money on players not proven in this league already. When he has they haven't done well. He desperately needs an Graham Carr but I doubt he would ever admit it. The longer he stays and the more money they back him with the worse they will get. I hope he stays for many seasons yet

I reckon the traffic warden didn't even bother looking and gave them a ticket, there is probably something in the rules that gives them a get-out in this sort of situation. The stick Harper gets is utterly baffling. Fact is all teams need a back up keeper, all teams pay for a backup keeper, we have had a quality one for many years, not had to try and sign players who knew they wouldn't be starters/be a bit shit so we have to sign another, then another etc.. As with all footballers, he has been paid very well but thank fuck he decided to stay as long as he has. I have seen many back up keepers, even for Man U etc.. who have been utter clowns so Harper being "unambitious" has been a godsend for us.

Santon has played a hell of a lot of games this season too. More games than anyone else in squad.

He seems a good lad so I won't slate him but he isn't good enough for a run of games. Should be 4th/5th choice really. Game do a job for the odd game but a few games ago he had played more games than any other centre back this season!

Marveaux has just under 600 more votes than Jonas but in terms of their contributions over the game Jonas was clearly better, this is based on what I saw and not what some numbers on a blog say though

Well Jonas clearly had a better game than Marveaux, however Marveaux had the won moment that one us the game. For me Jonas would have been 2nd but it depends how you look at Man of the Match though.

As with ferguson there is no point debating either player on here. CT has pissed off enough people about both players that the automatic reaction is to downplay them. On the other hand CT is so desperate to be right he will big them up to ridiculous standards. Marveaux had a fairly average game, did some good, went missing for a while but ultimately put in a class ball that led to us winning the game. No more, no less. The poll above has a number of clear flaws, Campbell getting more votes than Elliot, Jonas being the 7th best Newcastle player etc..
