Millican has definitely toned down on the useless boyfriend stuff, used to find her horrific but she isn't too bad these days. Quite like that Canadian (I think) lass but can't think of her name. Philomena Cunk (no idea what her real name is) is funny but not sure she would work on a panel show as I have't seen her out of character.

The police didn't search the apartment for some time after did they? If they were checking on her sporadically is there no chance she could have died, been hidden and moved later?

I was hoping to be the first to say it Never understood people moaning about "sneaky" police hiding behind bushes to catch you out. Do they moan that shops have CCTV in not too obvious places so when you are on the rob you don't know you are being recorded?

Just to play devils advocate, why would it be more difficult for one or both of the parents to transport the body unseen and make it vanish into thin air than some stranger doing it? Surely a stranger around the apartment would attract more attention than people already staying there and having access to the room without breaking in.
