Can't see it myself unless Keegan's planning on sticking with 4-3-3, I mean who would Henry replace? If Owen and Martins are signing new deals I can only imagine Viduka would make way and provide cover for all three. Would be nice to think he'd come here but I think he'd only return to one English club and it's not us.

I started off on N-O ages ago but after the whole Hitzfeld thing it put me right off so I made my way over here on a more permanent basis. I don't post anywhere else now and it alwyas seems like a good crack here - at first it was a bit daunting I've got to admit because it seemed like Stevie said a bit 'clannish' but it's not really once you're settled. Toontastic ftw!

Steven Taylor the voice of Newcastle United
TheMoog replied to Jusoda Kid's topic in Newcastle Forum
To be fair Clarky did pull a blinder when he wore that SMB t-shirt at the cup final, and I doubt he'd ever have kissed the scum's badge while playing for them. I've got nothing against Chops because deep down we know he's a Toon fan, personally I wouldn't have signed for them if I were in his shoes though. -
I reckon it's quite funny, if you can't have a crack at your arch-enemies who can you have a crack at
-
Speaking of Bullard, I wonder if there's any chance of getting him. I remember watching him play for Peterborough and he showed signs of being a good player then.
-
I've got it, had it for this past season for about £17 I think - apparently it goes up after a year but we'll see. I'd say it's worth it, there's quite a few features on it but tbh I've only used it for the live match commentary.

Ahh man, I feel really bad now - the only reason I support Newcastle is down to my parent's Geordie next-door-neighbour brain-washing me since I was a nipper. I'm from the East Midlands, you want die-hard fans? You should try supporting a team where you have no allies around you
-
Nabbed: Please let it be so!!!
-
Scott who? Even if we had have taken him on where would he be in our team now? Given's been the number one during the time Carson's matured and Harper's been an excellent stand-in so we'd probably have sold him anyways, seems like a wasted statement tbh.
-
That's probably true to be fair, I think Oba's cracking but I also think £90k p/w is a bit steep for him. I'll be pleased if we tie them both up with new 4 year contracts though - let's hope there aren't any stupid 'get-out' clauses in them.
-
It's the same old problem really, the Scottish Prem can make an average player look like a world beater. It's always going to be dicey buying from any team up there because the quality that these players have to play against week in/week out just isn't as high as down here. I'm sure the lad's a good player but like others have said he not worth any more than £6m tops.
-
I've got to agree with this guy (apart from the quickness in which the NUFC board ditched him), anyone got any other candidates?
-
Keep seeing the stories pop in to the press that Newcastle are 'scared' of losing Taylor... but why?! To be honest he's been one of the more consistantly error prone players in the team this season for me. And why oh why does he have to keep doing stupid shit like grabing a random part of his anatomy when the ball's obviously hit him elsewhere?!
-
Let's hope he goes to Arsenal and takes Taylor with him
-
I reckon he'll head to Arsenal, he's the sort of player Arsene Wenger loves - French
-
Blasted whining Frenchies, I always liked Zoggy but I think it's time the little blighter moved on.

I'd just like to say, for all those nay-sayers who were moaning when Kev came back, whinged we were a laughing stock, etc etc... HA FUCKING HA! I've been excited or at least interested in the footy again since Keegan returned and it's just getting better all the time, sure we're not going to win them all but fucking hell it feels great at the moment and it's none of that drab, head-less chicken shit we've seen over the past few years under Souness, Roeder and Fat Sam! We have entertainment again at long last!!! I truly am walking in a Keegan wonderland! Get in!
-
Get the lad's communication up to scratch and I reckon he'll do fine
-
Scores a few goals too doesn't he?
-
Maybe he just needed a decent manager to use him properly
-
I bet the press still manage to pick on something negative though. This is the cockney media's nightmare result to be fair If we actually managed to overhaul Spurs in the league by the end of the season i think they'd implode! All of their 'Ramos tactically outclasses yesterdays man Keegan' headlines will have to be shelved. I honestly think some of them will be in tears He's a good manager as Benitez is but I just hate all the worshipping at the feet of European coaches as soon as they arrive. Thing is though Keegan would have got all the "tactically outclassed/shown up" rubbish if it has been the other way around (or even just 2-0), but at best the press will probably try to portray it as some gungho fluke for Keegan, rather than accepting Keegan does have some quite serious strengths as a manager and is in face a pretty damn good manager. Of course, don't expect the London press to give Keegan an recognition for putting a 4-1 away win over Spurs together.
-
What the fans of other teams and the press forget is that was Newcastle under Fat Sam which got beat by Derby
-
Can I just say to any of those doubting kids out there, this is the sort of result I was expecting from Keegan's return... albeit a bit sooner than expected. I'm sure it won't continue until the end of the season but I feel it's a glimpse of what we're in for in the new Keegan era. Yes, he IS the messiah!
-
WTF?! £52k a week? Is he having a laugh?
-
Damn right, that's what I'm talking about!
